"For those of you who do not know, we are joined here tonight by Charity Burbage who, until recently, taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
Men and woman around the table whispered to each other, a few laughed.
"Yes... Professor Burbage taught the children of witches and wizards all about muggles... how they are not so different from us..." Katie fought to ignoring the faces of those she once worked alongside, their snears and judgments.
"Silence," Voldemort cut in, silencing her with the flick of Malfoy's wand.
"Not content with corrupting and polluting the minds of wizarding children, last week Professor Burbage wrote an impassioned defense of Mudbloods in the Daily Prophet. Wizards, she says, must accept these thieves of their knowledge and magic. The dwindling of the pure bloods is, says Professor Burbage, a most desirable circumstance.... She would have us all mate with muggles... or, no doubt, werewolves...." Silence followed the dark lord's speech and Katie cried silently, the tears falling into her hair as she watched Snape.
"Avada Kedavra." Green light filled the room and Katie fell to the ground, limp and lifeless. It all happened so quickly, she hadn't even had time for a last breath.
"Dinner, Nagini," Voldemort whispered. Then he left the room before the snake had reached her prey.
