Arren felt a bit insulted when his master shrugged of his hands. He pouted before shrugging annoyed and walking off. He heard the door lock after him and decided to go see his new quarters. Since he had slept on the streets for a while, he didn’t have grand expectations. He just wished for proper healing equipment and at least a straw mattress. Just so he didn’t have the cold from the earth sneak into him.
After a short walk he made it to the medical ward. Arren smiled to himself. Plenty of herbs and other useful things. He walked around and made a quick list of the things that were there, to make sure he knew if he started running low on something. So far they seemed to have a reasonable amount of different things. Arren put the list on the table and made his way to the small room connected to the ward. He found himself pleasantly surprised by the small bed and bundle of warm looking blankets.
Arren wasn’t cold that often, but during the winter, he did enjoy having something to keep him warm. A small nightstand stood next to the bed, a thick candle on top of it. Arren felt his stomach protest in the lack of food, but he was too tired to go find food.
He sat down on the surprisingly soft bed. Not straw? Arren smiled. He hadn’t ever slept on a mattress that wasn’t straw. He wrapped the blankets around himself and sat in the corner of the small bed. He relaxed slightly. Arren tried to ignore the fear of falling asleep and maybe getting hurt, and closed his eyes. He needed rest.
