I was walking down the schools hallways with Emma beside me. "All I am saying, Mia, is that we all need to get the hell out of this place." She said. We stopped at her locker. "I just don't think that this is a good idea Em's." I said. She smiled at me. Her red lip stick was thick today, she is in a good mood. She turned back to her locker and spun her combination.
She is being crazy. Why would we go to a bar, on a Friday night, in a bad part of town? Why? She is going insane. I would be fine with getting a drink some place other then the bar. I mean we have no idea what goes on in that place. I heard even the Police didn't want anything to do with the old bar on the corner. Which makes me want to Not go.
"Mia, we need something fun to do, something wild." Emma snapped me out of my thoughts. She pulled out makeup from her locker and used the mirror on her locker door. "It's still a bad idea." I stated. She fixed her lip stick and was fixing her eye liner. "Come on girl, you need to calm down, it will be fun, James and Kyle will come along, and nothing bad will happen." Em said with a big smile.
I agreed to go with them, which was a mistake. Because I had no idea what I was getting into. I was hoping it was just some old run down bar that does nothing bad, but I was wrong. I didn't have any idea what was about to happen.
I was sitting in my room, waiting on the others to come pick me up. My laptop in my lap as I was doing some homework. My mom knocked on the door. "May I come in Mia bear?" She asked already walking in. "I guess you can, since you are already in here." I said with a smile. I closed my computer and put it off to the side. "You four are going out tonight? Where too?" She asked.
My mom is the strangest person in the world. She used to be just like me, always going to parties with friends, getting drunk, and getting into trouble. I even look like her, with brown hair and hazel eyes. The only thing is, my mother doesn't care if I go out and drink, as long as I don't hurt myself, over dose, or anything stupid like that. Which she doesn't have to worry about, since I can only bring myself to have one cup.
"We are just going to the river, maybe have a few drinks, then I am staying the night with Emma." I lied. My mother smiled. "Okay, only if your promise me that you will be safe." she said. I smiled and hugged her, "I will mama bear." I said with a giggle. She then stood up, kissed me on my head and left. "Love you Mia Bear." She said with a wink. Then she was gone. That was when it all started.
