Crime Vs. Crime

What happens Friday night at a bar? Well if you are 17 years old and at a bar, then you should just turn around. Because we didn't. We were being stupid, and that got us in this stupid mess. So what happens at the bar stays at the bar. If you tell, then you better run. That was another mistake that we made. And now we are on the run. This is a silly game they have us in. Crime Vs. Crime.

8. Emma

My dream startled me awake and looked around. I had almost forgot that I was in a hotel with Emma, Kyle, and James. Man, the past few days have been rough. I laid back in the bed and stared up at the white ceiling. The room was dark, but the city below our room was alive. I turned over to face the bed next to me and noticed it was empty. "Emma?" I whispered into the darkness of the room. No replie.

I sat up again and scanned the dark room. There was no one but me in the room. "Emma? Where are you?" I asked pulling the blankets off of me and standing up. I turned on the lamp on the bedside table and looked around. The golden glow of the light lite up the room well enough for me to see the girl sitting in the corner. "Emma what are you doing?" I asked walking over to her. She was sitting in the corner staring out the window in a daze.

I walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. "Emma? Are you okay?" I asked, and she jumped at my voice. "What the....." She jumped and stared at me. "Oh, Mia? I didn't know you were up." She said turning her head to the window once more. I sat down next to her with a sigh. "What's wrong?" I whispered loud enough for her to hear. She turned back to me and I noticed the tears in her eyes. That is how I knew everything we were in was bad. Emma never cries. She may be a drama queen, but she never cries. And, if she does, then you know it's bad.

"Mia, I'm scared." She sniffed. "What is going to happen to us? What is going to happen to our families?" Tears started trailing down her face. I wrapped my arms around her and squeezed her tight. "Emma, I'm scared too." I felt tears starting to come to my eyes. "I don't know what is going to happen. I don't know what our families are thinking. And, I don't know what will happen to us." I said in the best confidence voice I could give her.

I felt her arms slink around me and hug me back. She sniffed and bit back tears long enough to talk. "If something does happen *sniff* where would we go?" Her question rang in my ears. She wasn't asking where is the world we would go, but if we would go to Hell or Heaven. "That depends." I whisper to her. I felt her tense up and I felt the warm tears hit my shoulder. I knew I didn't help her, but I also couldn't lie to her.

I sat there, holding Emma's shaking body in my arms and watched the sun starting to peak over the city. "What if we die, Mia?" Em cried, almost to quite for me to hear. "Then we won't have to scared anymore." I whispered back to her. She let out a long crying sound and hugged me tighter. "And *sniff* what is we live?" She asked after she pulled herself together a little. I let a tear fall down my cheek. "Then we have to keep running." I whispered quieter.

Emma's cry was no longer silent, it was a full on sob. She was shaking, and tears were pouring down her face like a water fall. Her breaths came quicker and shorter, but she never asked question or said another word. She just sat there, in my arms, and cried, like she was all alone.

Sorry for the short chapter, but this chapter is important to Emma. I wanted to add it somewhere into the story why they were still in New York, so I decided to add it before their crime in New York.

Also, please comment who you ship together, because I am having a hard time. I ship Emma, Kyle, and James, all, with Mia.

Also, if you have a crime you want them to comment, then comment it. Thank you :D
