"Mom, are you okay?" my ten year old daughter, Naomi, asked.
I snapped out of my thoughts and replied.
"yes sweetheart now where is your brother?"
"uhm I think he's with James." She responded.
I walked out to the backyard and saw my son, Aspen, playing football (soccer) with my fiancee, James.
I smiled at the pair and called Aspen over.
"Go get your backpack honey" I told him.
It was their fourth year of primary school.
They were so big now.
James ran over to me all sweaty and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.
"I am gonna take a quick shower. See you later?" he asked.
"Of course." I replied.
Noami ran over to me with a hairbrush.
I took it to her blonde hair and went deep into thought again.
----- Flashback -------
I looked at the pregnancy test.
Me and Luke were not ready for children, but there would be no way that I would get rid of them.
I heard the door slam.
I went to our living room and saw Luke stomping around the couch.
"Luke, are you okay?" I asked him.
"NO, ELLA I'M NOT OKAY. YOU JUST DON'T GET IT." He said running over to me.
He grabbed my wrists and applied pressure to his grip on me.
"Luke your hurting me." I said wincing at the pain.
He let go and stormed out the door.
I never got a call back.
He never apoligized.
I never saw him again.
Ten years without the love of my life.
Ten years without Luke Hemmings.
