Eriks Point of view.
“I love you Erik.” Was all I heard, then I felt a snap, like my heart shattered. I could feel the pain Amy was going through, and then I felt her die. Rage filled my body; my wings broke the skin over my shoulder blades and snapped the rope that bound me a random tree in the forest. “He’s getting away!” I heard a female voice shout as I flew into the morning air. I flew toward my house; the one Amy was being kept in. I slammed the door opened and ran to the kitchen; I saw my brother, mom and father, and several of the Fredrick royals and council members standing over Amy’s body, which was covered in blood. My wings retreated, and I’m assuming so did my horns and tail. I rushed over to the body of my true love and pushed everybody out of the way. Her eyes were stuck opened, and bloodshot. I kissed her pink lips, but I felt her take something, she was still alive! I kissed her again, giving her my energy, she was taking so much and I felt my body weaken. I felt a hand grab me and pull me off of her, I didn’t have the energy to stop Jacob, he was a born royal and I was weak. Jacob looked at me, his blonde hair spiked up. “You will die if you continue to do this.” He looked me in the eyes. “I don’t care” I whimpered. “You’re a royal Jacob, will you do it?” I saw him look at me. “You’re lucky Amy is my friend. I can’t believe I’m about to kiss a girl. Jacob leaned down and kissed Amy, I saw the energy flow through to her, and I watched her wound close. She sprung up and latched herself onto Jacob, taking his energy faster than it could replenish. Jacob’s father finally ripped her off of him, I saw her turn her head and look at me. I smile grew on her face; she jumped on me and hugged me. I still couldn’t feel our connection like I could before; it was like she was still dead. I looked at her big blue eyes, “Amy, what happened?” her eyes watered. “I thought if I died they wouldn’t kill you. I was trying to save you, I’m sorry.” She looked down. I kissed her forehead and whispered “Its okay, my love.” into her head. “Why cant I feel our connection Erik?” she raised her voice.
“You two are no longer connected.” Gregory, Jacobs’s father, said. “When she died the bond was severed, when she was brought back it didn’t reconnect.” He looked at us. “We don’t have to execute you after all Erik.” Gregory smiled. I felt rage flow through my body. “You were going to let him kill me?” I looked at my father. He didn’t look in my eyes. “You would just end me, without even trying to fight for me? Well I guess you didn’t fight for jack either.” I snapped at my coward of a father who winced at the name of my older brother. “The only thing is, Jack isn’t really dead.” Both my mother and Father looked at me, and with their eyes begged me to shut my mouth. This piece of information got my traitor of a brothers attention. “What do you mean?” he asked, Jacob stared at me too, confused as hell. “Jack is alive.” I began, and then turned toward Jacob, who was the boyfriend of my brother, jack. “They knew about the two of you.” I told him, keeping my tone light. “the council found out that you guys mated, the only way to break a royal bond is through death, my mom and dad and your parents faked Jacks suicide so the rest of the council would think he was dead, by the time they figured out that it was a trick and Jacob was still mated, jack would be long gone and they wouldn’t be able to kill him. They got some witches to plant memories of a funeral into everybody’d head; they also planted the feeling of your bond breaking into your mind. They knew if you knew the truth you would have gone after Jack.” I concluded. “That is enough Erik!” Gregory roared. Jacob looked at his father. “Is this true? He’s alive?” Jacob smiled. “Jack is alive?” he laughed and cried.
“Yes…” Amy chimed in, her voice was weak, and she stood up and touched the shoulder of both Jacob and Justin. “…and he misses you both dearly” she said sweetly. “I will have no more of this!” Gregory yelled. “Take Erik back to the tree house.” I then heard singing, and I slowly drifted off to sleep… damn sirens.
