Tom and Mickey had to separate them and then the worst nightmare happened. The manager came in and they got barred.
Once outside Mickey walked up the road he was angry and was kicking dustbins around.
“I’m sorry Mickey but she started it said Alison.’
“We have nowhere to go now on a Friday night.’
“Yes there is; there’s always a dance going on somewhere.’
Yes, but you cannot get a pint in them can you.’
“No but the music is good.’
“Look Alison, on Friday night I like to have a pint or two; Uncle Tom’s was the easiest bar to get into; now I’m going to have to wait a few weeks and hope that they don’t recognise me before I can go back.’
Shirley apologised to Tom and said that she was only defending her friend.’
By the time they had walked up to Billy Mill round about Mickey had cooled down and he and Alison were kissing and making up.
Tom stopped and pulled Shirley to him as the passed the Spiritualist church he took her into the doorway and they came together and his hands were exploring her under her blouse she wanted to stop him but she was enjoying the feeling of being touched. His hands slid under her bra and he felt the softness of her breasts as his finger and thumb closed around her hardened nipple. She gasped as he kissed her neck and Tom remembered how Colette had made the same sounds that Shirley was making.
It all became too much for Shirley and she pulled away.
“What’s wrong asked Tom?’
“Nothing, I just think we should wait that’s all.’
“Wait until when.’
“When we have a bit more privacy Tom; I mean we are in the doorway of a church.’
“Alright then tomorrow, when you are babysitting.’
“I don’t know Tom I haven’t been all the way before and I’m frightened.’
I have protection; you can buy them from the barbershop now you know.’
“Are they safe; yes if you put them on right.’
“Look Tom my father would kill me if he found out I was pregnant. I’m not sixteen until November can’t you wait until then.’
“If it means that much to you then alright I will wait.’
Shirley took Tom’s hand as they passed the St Anslems School.’
Mickey and Alison were sitting on the wall as Tom and Shirley approached.’
“Well we will see you both tomorrow then said Alison.’
“Aye said Mickey with a wink as he turned and then walked back with Tom the way they had come.
“It’s not going to happen for me tomorrow mate said Tom.’
“I mean she’s not going all the way with me until she’s sixteen.’
“All girls say that mate but once you get their clothes off they soon come around to the Idea.
“I saw you getting stuck in by the doorway of the church; you rogue you.’
“Yes it was then that she told me she wanted to wait until she was sixteen.
“When will that be?’
“Next month apparently.’
“Well that’s not long to wait is it; hey mate there’s other stuff she can do to you to keep you interested if you know what I mean.’
“I don’t think she’s that kind of girl Mick.’
