I sit down at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall next to Scorpius for the feast. He's strangely fidgety, but he's probably just nervous about results. I certainly am.
"Well, here we are. Another year at Hogwarts gone." McGonagall says. "I hope to see you all next year, with the exception of the seventh years. Enjoy the feast." she sits back down.
Albus and Scorpius are whispering together, looking agitated. I'm really confused now. Surely our N.E.W.T. results wouldn't cause them that much worry...?
After I'm about halfway through eating, Scorpius stands up and bangs his spoon against his golden goblet. Everyone looks at him.
"May I have your attention?" He shouts, then gets up on the table. He extends a hand to me, and pulls me up next to him. He turns to me.
"Rosaline Granger-Weasley, you are the most beautiful, the kindest, smartest girl I have ever had the privilege to meet." he gets down on one knee, putting one knee in the mashed potatoes, and his foot in the gravy. He looks down at it, then ignores it, and looks back up to me, pulling out a small box. I gasp, both of my hands flying to my mouth.
"Rose, will you marry me?" he asks, opening the box. Inside is a ring, but instead of the traditional diamond, there's a small rose carved out of ruby.
"Yes!" I manage to squeak out. I clear my throat. "Yes!" I say, slightly louder. "Yes, yes, yes, of course I'll marry you!"
Albus comes in with a large cake that he and Scorpius clearly made themselves. No offense to my two favorite boys, but you're not very good cooks! The entire hall had gathered around us, and now they're applauding.
Scorpius picks me up and twirls me around. As my back is away from the cake, we suddenly tip over, landing in it. Cake goes everywhere, onto the people nearest. We look at each other, laugh, and kiss.
As Scorpius, Albus and I step off the Hogwarts Express, I immediately search for my parents.
"Oh, look, they're near each other." Scorpius says. And indeed, there are my parents standing right next to Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy. I bound over to them, pulling Scorpius by the hand. Albus follows, smiling at my excitement.
"Oh, there you are." Dad says. "Are you ready to go?"
"Wait." I say. "I have something to show you two."
At that moment, Harry and Ginny come over. "There you are, Albus." Ginny says.
"Mum, Rose has something to show us." Albus says. I'd told both boys I want all three of our parents to be told at the same time.
"Okay, here it is." I say. I hook my left arm around Scorpius's right, and hold out my right hand. All six parents lean in to look. Upon seeing the ring, they all react instantly.
Mum, Astoria, and Ginny are hysterical, shrieking and hugging me. Harry and Draco clap Scorpius on the back, congratulating him. Dad's face is turning purple.
"Dad, please." I say, looking at him. He looks at me, studies me for a few long moments, then nods his head. I hug him. "Thank you." I whisper into his ear. He just nods again.
Our entire little group are completely oblivious to the fact that we're still in the middle of a crowded train station.
Well, there you have it. I hope you liked the proposal. I loved writing it. There are still going to be more chapters. Please favorite! Help me win the competition! Please? :/
