But it didn’t die. What the fuck? Is my electricity getting weaker?
“Spearow!!!” The bird screamed. Seconds later, a nearby tree revealed an army of Spearows, all of them equally as aggressive as the original. They were flying towards us at what seemed like the speed of light.
“Er, should we run?” the boy asked.
Well no shit sherlock. “Pikachu.” I nodded
So we ran for our lives, which felt like a pointless effort because they were much faster than us, they far outnumbered us, and they could fly.
“Don’t worry Pikachu, no matter what, I’ll save you,” promised the child.
And how exactly do you plan to do that. I gained a sudden rush of momentum, and overtook him.
“Don’t run ahead, I said I’d protect y- ow!” A spearow pecked the boy on the head, and two more grabbed my skin in their beaks, as if I was food.
“Pikachu, pikachu!” I protested. Pain seared through my entire body.
“Leave him alone spearows!” the boy caught up with me and picked me up, saving me from the herd of Spearows that had gathered around me. I was on the verge of fainting.
He ran from the spearows, carrying me with him. When we got to the waterfall, he jumped in, as there was nowhere else to go.
I’m not sure what happened in between, but the next thing I knew, I was in the basket of a bicycle, and we had lost the Spearows.
It felt too good to be true, and that’s because it was. In a matter of seconds, the spearows were back, and the boy lost his balance on the bike, causing us both to fall. Well it was nice while it lasted, I thought. All two and a half seconds of it.
The boy came to my side and presented me with a pokeball. Red and white ball of death. Fitting, I feel like dying right now.
“Pikachu, get inside. I know you’re afraid of going in there, but if you’re inside, maybe I can save you. Please Pikachu, please listen to me and go inside. After that then… after that, just trust me!”
“Pika.” I had no fight left inside me, but I also didn’t have the energy to get inside the poke ball.
The boy made a speech to the Spearows. Dude, there is a time and a “Spearows, do you know who I am? I’m Ash, from the town of Pallet. I’m destined to be the World’s number one Pokemon master. I can’t be defeated by the likes of you. I’m going to capture and defeat you all! You hear me?” He turned to address me. “Pikachu, go inside the poke ball, it’s the only way.” He turned back to the Spearows. “Come and get me!!!!”
Never in my life have I seen a single pokemon this angry or move this quickly, let alone a whole flock. Is Ash going to be okay? What am I thinking, of course he’s not going to be okay. I can’t let him face them alone.
I defied Ash yet again, and delivered the most powerful electric shock I had ever given. “Pikachuuuu!!!!”
