My Cleopatra costume is itching around my ass but there's too many people around so I can't scratch it.
I sit here alone. Waiting for my Best friend
Ever since the 8th grade incident I kinda shut out everyone except one person.
She's honestly not a great person, but she's something.
I feel like we have a friendship connection even though we aren't alike.
She's Funny, and Humorous.
I'm..Quiet, and Stylish...Or so people say.
She's more of a Vans, crazy socks, shorts, t-shirt, and beanie chick.
I'm a Converse, ripped jeans, any shirt as long as it looks good, hair in place type of chick.
I wait for about 5 minutes until Cassie finally arrives.
I spot a girl in a gigantic, fat, and grey costume.
"Cassie, WTF did you come as?" I ask concernedly.
"BIAAATCH I'm a rock." She states with pride.
I sigh and look around to see who's watching.
Only like 5 people so were good.
Cassie takes a sip of a drink she put together earlier.
"You know that guy over there?" Cassie points.
I look in the direction she is pointing and notice a cute-Hot Junior from our school who was staring at me, then looked away because Cassie pointed at him.
"Er-yea... you just scared him away.."I grumbled.
"Well...That's Dean. Dean Anderson. He's been staring at you since I got here." She says.
I glance at Dean.
He has cute blue eyes and black hair.
His skin is lightly tanned.
He looks at me and smiles.
Startled at run behind Cassie and her big rock costume, causing her drink to knock over.
"Avery WTF." Cassie cursed.
"Dean just smiled at me." I cry while covering my eyes with my hands.
"Oh he's not just staring at you, he's walking over here." She giggles.
"WAIT WHAT?!" I scream.
"Haha. Peace out rainbow trout." Cassie coughed as she moved away .
A hand is held out for me to grab.
"Thanks."I say as I look up.
Dean Anderson stands in front of me with the hugest smile on his face.
"Hey there. Did I scare you?" he asks.
I force a smile back at him.
"No-Not at all." I lie.
"So..Avery right?" He asks.
I'm surprised he even knows my name.
"Umm yea." I reply.
His eyebrows are thick.
His eyes go perfectly well with all his physical features.
"I'm Dean. I've heard a lot about you."
He's heard a lot about me?
"Uhh...you heard a lot about me from who?" I protested.
His Handsome face suddenly turns into a guilty face.
"Okay, okay, i admit I've seen you around and wanted to get to know you."
I smile at him.
"Well how nice." I reply.
For the rest of the party Dean and I got to know each other a little bit. We danced, talked, did challenges together, and everything A girl could want.
Dean and I sit close with our feet in the pool. I look up at him and lie my head on his shoulder.
"You're pretty cool Avery." He whispered.
I take my head of his shoulder and we join hands.
"You are too." I whisper back.
At this moment I really want to kiss him.
I think he wants to kiss me too because he's leaning in.
OH MY GAD.
We're so close!
"AVERY!" A boy's voice calls from behind me.
I sigh, and turn around.
Riker Smith stands there looking defeated.
"Hey..Riker." I fake.
Dean has a frown on his face and looks like he's about to shoot someone.
"Look Avery..I gotta blast. See you tomorrow-here's my number."
Dean hands me a paper with his number on it.
He winks at me and leaves.
At this point I feel like I should kill Riker.
I get up and storm towards him.
"What the hell do you want?" I ask, annoyed.
"Umm...I just...do..you want to dance?" he asks, sweating.
I look at shocked.
Did he just ask me to dance?
"No, I Don't want to dance." I answer with attitude.
He frowns at me.
"Okay...well I was just leaving. Sorry to interrupt you and DEAN." he apologizes not meaningfully.
"Yea! be sorry! you knew I wouldn't dance with you. Not after what you did to me." I push Riker into the pool and storm off.
Everyone is yelling,
"Riker is roasted!"
As I push my way through the crowd, a big fat rock stops me.
"What was that for?" Cassie asks, concerned.
"Just please stop." I growl.
"but-where are you going?!" She shouts at me as I fight through the crowd.
"I was just leaving." I yell.
In the parking lot I find my car and get inside.
Did I over react to that? did I make a scene? Well I Definitely did.
I ball my fists and hit my steering wheel causng the honk to go off.
I really need to calm down.
Why doesn't Riker get the point?
I don't like him anymore! we're not friends!!
I start the car and start to speed up.
I stop at the stop sign.
No one's going to pass or cross so i continue to drive.
Pondering, I check my phone.
I want to text Dean but I don't kn-
My body jerks forward and my chest hit the wheel.
I just hit something.
What is it!
It's under my car.
With out thinking I backup and roll over the thing I just ran over and hear a scream ish groan.
I'm a DUMBASS!
WHY DID I JUST ROLL BACK OVER IT!
I get out of my car to see a boy in a Spartan costume lying on the ground in front of my car.
"SHIT!" I scream.
I turn Riker over off his face and he groans.
"Riker can you hear me?!" I choked.
"What..The..Hell." He tries to talk through his teeth.
"I am so sorry!" I cry.
"My...legs...arms...ohh." He mumbles.
I take off His Spartan hat.
"listen this was a freaking accident-Why do you smell like beer?" I ask as I slighly back away.
I realize now that it wasn't my fault.
He had been drinking.
"Oh F**k you." I scowl as I dial 911.
He lies there helplessly.
