Anna spent the entire concert in a state of shock. The guy she was speaking to, was Justin Bieber! She'd had no idea that she was talking to one of the biggest pop stars in the universe, and she'd insulted him! She cringed as she thought back to their conversation: 'I'm probably going to be expected to fawn all over him. That's not really my thing'. She clasped her hands over her face. Justin was bringing the arena down, belting out song after song, Lily was singing along, wiggling her butt and blowing kisses to the stage. Anna peeked through her fingers, and dropped her hands to her lap quickly. Justin was looking directly at her with a huge smile on his face, he carried on singing, his eyes looking in to hers. Anna shook her head quickly. No, he was just looking in her general direction. He definitely wasn't looking at her. Was he?
The concert ended, thousands of girls screaming ceased as Justin left the stage. The crowd started to leave, and as Anna and Lily rose up out of their seats, a huge security guard loomed over them.
"Hello, ladies." He smiled at them. "Justin is just changing, and then I'll escort you to the meet and greet. Are you girls excited?"
"YES!" Said Lily, a little too loudly. Anna kept her head down. The truth was, she was dreading it. Coming face to face with Justin Bieber, the man she'd insulted, a huge international popstar, made her so nervous she was pretty sure she was going to puke.
The girls sat in the waiting room for a little while after having their handbags and pockets searched, and before Anna's nerves had calmed down, the security guard was telling them it was time to meet Justin. Anna stumbled as she walked, while Lily practically ran down the corridor.
"Now girls, I know you must be excited, but there are a few rules to remember. No touching, no secret photography, and no filming the meet and greet. Normally, I'd be in the room with you, but Justin has insisted on meeting you both alone." The security guard explained to them, his face confused.
"Does.. does he do that often?" Anna asked.
"No, he's never dismissed his security before. It's very strange. Now, he's just through this door. Enjoy yourself, girls. But please remember the rules." With that, the security guard opened the door and let the girls in. Lily went first, with Anna trailing behind her, twisting her fingers nervously. The security guard closed the door behind them. The dressing room was huge... but empty. Justin wasn't there.
"What? I don't understand." Lily moaned. "Where is he?"
Suddenly, the door opened again, and Anna turned around quickly. She was face to face with him. His honey gold eyes were lit up in amusement, and he smiled broadly at her. Anna's breath caught in her throat. Behind her, Lily let out a tiny squeak.
"Hello, I'm Justin. Pleased to meet you both." He smiled, extending his hand to Anna. She stared at it a moment, and then slowly took it. His hand was warm, and little sparks of electricity seemed to be jumping from it.
"I'm Anna, it's nice to meet you." She said quietly. He shook her hand gently, and then extended his hand to Lily, who pulled him to her and wrapped her arms around his neck, crying.
Anna stared at her in horror. "No touching, Lily!". But Justin gave her a warm hug, and then invited both of them to sit down on the couch.
"It's fine, that's kind of the reason I dismissed the security. They're really overprotective. I don't mind giving hugs to my fans. Or girls who attend my concert, who have never heard of me." He winked at Anna. Lily was too overwhelmed to notice the exchange. Anna dropped her head in shame.
"So, you won the tickets in a competition huh? Did you enjoy the show?" He asked, settling in to a chair and offering them a soda.
"It was amazing! I loved it when you sang 'Sorry'. It's my favourite!" Lily gushed. Justin smiled warmly and thanked her, then turned his eyes back to Anna.
"And you, Anna? What's your favourite?" He grinned. Was he mocking her? Anger flashed in her eyes again, she curled her hands in her lap.
"Actually, before tonight, I had no clue who you were. So I don't have a favourite." She replied, staring directly at his face.
"I see." He laughed. They continued talking for a little while, general chit chat, mostly Lily and Justin. Anna was too confused to contribute to the conversation.
"So," Justin said, getting up. "It's almost time for the meet and greet to end. It's a shame really. You're nice girls. Are you headed home after this?"
"No, the competition included a stay at a hotel. So we'll be going there. The Regent Beverley Wilshire?" Lily explained. Justin raised an eyebrow.
"Crazy." He smiled, "That's where I'm staying!"
