I was laughing all of lunch, and my friends were staring at me like I was an idiot. Which was honestly kind of true at the moment. I still felt bad about laughing though, because Meg didn’t talk at all, and basically just sat there picking at her food. That would just make what was about to happen that much more fantastic.
I dumped my tray after only eating half of what was on it. I needed to go somewhere. I got to where I needed to be, and waited. I heard a door open and executed my plan. I hopped up on the toilet, and placed a pair of Ryder’s boy shoes on the ground.
A knock on the stall meant that it was go time. I pulled my phone out and turned it to video. I pressed the record button and waited. I looked down at the girl’s shoes. It was definitely the right person.
“It’s me Andrew.” Cass’ voice sang.
I opened the stall door and yanked Cass in. Then I locked the stall and pressed my body against the door. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be locked in a bathroom stall with Cass Kholeson. The thought made me laugh.
“Is this some kind of a joke? Where’s Andrew?” Cass still though Andrew was coming, how hilarious.
“It’s not really a joke Cass. I’m going to ask you some questions and I want you to answer!” I held my phone down at my side and hoped that Cass would speak loud enough for my phone to pick it up.
“Don’t talk to me like that!” Cass screeched.
I realized that my bitch mode method wouldn’t work on Cass, so I changed gears.
“I just have a few questions okay?” I said changing to a sweeter tone.
“Shoot.” I’m surprised with Cass’ response.
“Okay. Did you try to steal Ryder and Zander from us?” I asked calmly.
“No. Well, not steal. I wanted to simply test them.” Cass was smiling, I didn’t like that.
“Test them? That seems like an excuse to me.” I remarked.
“Believe what you want, but I’m telling you the truth. I like to keep my eyes open for potential boyfriends, so I test boys. If they cheat, they fail the test. If they don’t cheat, they ace the test and go on my potential boyfriend list. Simple.” Did Cass really just say something half intelligent? Shocker.
“Okay. This question you’re going to love, and I want nothing but the truth.” I said crossing my arms.
“I feel like I’m on trial. Could I get a lawyer?” Cass retorted, and I tried not to laugh.
“Did you do the nasty with Zander Michaels?” I stated bluntly.
Cass just laughed and slapped her knee. I was so confused. What on Earth was funny about sex? I didn’t understand. Maybe her blonde highlights were seeping into her brain, causing true blonde ditziness.
“It was you!” Cass kept laughing.
“Pardon?” I stayed stern-faced.
“I knew it was you on the other end of the call. I still have Ryder’s number. I don’t text him, so relax. I just knew you would get angry, so I made up a story and you fell for it. It was really your fault anyway. I mean, Zander? He is so not my type! I don’t date nerds, let alone ‘do the nasty’ with them.” Cass explained, still laughing slightly.
“Wait, so you never did it with him?” I was still in shock.
“Were you listening to what I just said? God, get your ears checked!”
“Cass, you may be a bitch. No, you definitely are a bitch, but you really helped me I guess.” I wanted to say thank you, but could force out the words.
“Whatever. May I leave the interrogation room now?” Cass teased.
I unlocked the stall door and exited. Before I left, Cass pulled me back a little and asked, “So… is Andrew coming or…” Oh Cass.
