4. Classes

"Schedules!" A young woman with straw like hair shouted in the common room a few days later. "I have everyone's schedules!"

"Who is that?" I asked Milo.

"Professor Sprout. The second." He replied glancing up from Latest and the Greatest: The Daily Dose Wizard Magazine!

"Professor Sprout II?" I asked, puzzled.

"Well, there used to be Professor Sprout the first, but she passes away about 5 years ago," Milo said to me. "so Professor Sprout II, her daughter took over. But call Sprout II just 'Professor Sprout,' because she gets terribly upset to be called the second."

"Oh," I muttered. Sprout II came up to us.

"Miss Frank and Mr. Fitz."

"Yes?" Milo said, shifting his magazine to the side.

"Schedules." Sprout II handed us each a piece of paper.

"I get one too?" I said wrinkling my eyebrows. "What would I learn?"

"Ah, so you're the muggle." Sprout II nodded. "History of magic you could learn. Maybe volunteer to teach muggle studies. Herbology definitely, I wouldn't mind. Of course not charms or defense against the dark arts, but you could come in and hang around."

"Ah, you got Professor Longbottom for Herbology, did you?" Sprout II nodded from over my shoulder. "He's good too. Let me just tell you that is was my mother who taught him well." She added proudly.

"What does 'Headmistress Meeting' mean?" I asked, reading my schedule a second time.

"Well since your Hogwart's first muggle, you've got a meeting with Professor McGonogal to discuss things. I honestly don't know myself." Sprout II said and left to pass out more papers.

"Hunhh...." I Milo grunted. "Cool! Transfiguration!"

"My classes are boring." I said reading them again. "Especially because I have no magic power at all."

"Not when your assisting muggle studies!" Milo beamed. "Your assisting for a total of seven class periods! One of mine both on Tuesday and Friday I may add."

"Not bad." I nodded. "But what do we do when we are not in class?"

"Study in the library, do homework, visit Hogsmeade-" Milo listed.

"Hogsmeade?" I asked.

"It's like this village place with restaurants, shops, all that stuff." Milo said. "You can only go if your a 3rd year, or if you have special permission."

"Do you special permission?" I asked.

"Yeah, I won a contest last year for getting full marks in all of my classes." Milo said. "Maybe they'd give you special permission since your a muggle!"

"Maybe!" I said hopefully.

"Everyone should get to bed now!" Becky Chang, a tall 5th year prefect said. "We have classes tomorrow."

"Fun" I groaned, and we everyone set their way to their rooms.
