Kimchi's Diaries 2: Shady Culprit

And here’s the continuation of “Kimchi’s Diaries: Dangerous Fa(n)scination”! For those who didn’t sleep since my last diary, here’s good news – continuation! But is it really for your good? Part II of the diary: We finally got a long vacation from our company and we were going to not very known village Hwang-ya. However, was it really a good idea? Besides fun we were caught up in the mystery of the village, which later had unpleasant consequences... But soon I understood that this was more complicated than I ever imagined.

1. Trip

Everyone’s probably confused after my last diary. I left you with a nice cliffhanger (*proud*). I have good news for you – here’s the continuation! But before we find out who is the mystery hooded man, we have to go back a few months, when we were having vacation in the spring. Soon you’ll understand why…

It was a fine day (again). After we promoted our album we got a weekly vacation from the company. We played a lot of games to decide where we’ll go, but what interested us was manager’s offer.

“My friend has a farm in Hwang-ya. You may rest there.”

“Farm?” Heejun shouted happily. He loved rural areas.

“Where is Hwang-ya?” Inseong asked confused.

“On the south,” manager explained.

“Strange name,” I stated.

To non-Koreans: Hwang-ya means wilderness. I guessed I should be worried now.

So after a few days we were on the way to the village. We took a ride by a truck. It was really nice ride in a fresh air. In the hay. With hay in your shoes. And hair. Really nice.

“Waaah, it’s awesome!” Heejunnie shrieked, to the horror of my ears. “When we’ll arrive? Is there a pond? How many animals do they have?”

“How many question do you have?” Inseong laughed. “We don’t know anything. Everything will be explained when we reach our destination.”

From some reason I shivered when I looked at the forest, which passed. I put my head on Seungjun’s lap and closed my eyes. Whatever, let’s just rest...

I started dozing off. After a while I heard some distant voices:

“ –are you ready?”

“Wait a little longer.”

“If we wait, it’ll be a failure, you know.”

“It has to be perfect~!”

I didn’t like the tone in the last voice, so I opened my eyes.

“Oh,” Heejun gasped, smiling suspiciously.

He was holding a pen in a pose, as if he wanted to draw something on me.

You wouldn’t dare,” I said, clenching my teeth.

“Too late!” Youjin laughed and everyone jumped back, when I immediately sat down.

“Show me,” I ordered Inseong, who I knew always carries mirror with him. Manager took our phones, so nothing would distract us. Instead we got walkie-talkies, which we used on one of My KNK TV.

He did it with hesitation. I looked at my face. As I feared, they scrabbled on me some letters. And beard with moustache. I think the last ones’ culprit was Inseong, because we were laughing at his unshaved drawing on V Live some time ago. I winced and my fancy moustache stretched ugly.

“Having fun?” I said to them. “I’ll kill you, if I can’t wash it away.”

“Yeah, about that...”

For their luck, we arrived and I had to focus on how to move my luggage without falling off the mound. We were walking the narrow lane and under us was honestly awesome view – fields, mountains and rivers (I had to lead Heejun by the hand, because he would fall with delight). Perfect place for relax.

We reached our accommodation in less than half hour. It was a nice and simple wood house with gardens. We heard and smelled the farm, which was behind the house. We called but nobody answered.

And then someone popped up in front of my face, almost giving me a heart attack.
