Its two days before Emily’s Cotillion and I have considered going but if I go it will mean I’m okay with her being a Princess and I’m not. I liked the Emily I got to know and fell in love with. I know it’s stupid because she’s still the Princess and that won’t change but I know my life will, I will become her Prince but I just want to be her boyfriend, Jackson.
“Jackson, are you okay?” Mum asked as she saw me looking at the photo of Emily and I when we went on our fourth month date. We went to a carnival that visited the town and there was a photo booth there.
“Let’s go in here...it’ll be fun!” Emily said as she dragged me in the booth. We just took heaps of photos of us then we put one in a frame, it was Emily and I looking deeply into each other’s eyes and in it you could tell how we felt about each other.
“I miss her, mum.” I started crying then mum came up to me, hugged me then replied “I know.”
Later that day, I went to the Palace to see Emily.
I walked up to the gate and said to the guards. “I wish to speak to Princess Emily.”
The guards opened the gate and took me up to the front doors where the King met us, he looked at me disgusted. “What’re you doing here?”
“I want to see, Emily.” I demanded.
“You must leave now or you will be sorry you came here.”
I looked at the King in shock. “Are you threatening me? The guy you’re daughter loves.”
“Emily doesn’t love you, you’re a widow and peasants son.” King Tony said harshly.
“That’s rich considering you married a peasant.” I said offensively.
King Tony looked at me and said “Leave, boy.”
“EMILY!” I yelled. “EMILY!”
“Take him away.” The guards grabbed me and started dragging me away but when Emily didn’t come, I gave up the fight and walked without resistance, half-way to the gate I heard Emily’s voice. “Jackson!”
I turned around and saw Emily running towards us, I ran up to her and she jumped in my arms. “I’ve missed you so much, Emily.” I said as held her in my arms.
“I’ve missed you, too. I’m sorry.”
I kissed Emily passionately before pulling away and saying. “I love you.”
After that the guards dragged me out and shut the gates, Emily stood there watching while her dad walked towards her. I walked away because I know she loved me and I know she’ll do what’s right.
