1. Prologue

Love. It's a strange force. It's the one thing that can make you feel so at home, even when you're miles away. It's that warm feeling that makes you tremble in another's presence. It's a powerful force. One that you never really think is going to happen o you. Or me, at that matter. But it did. It's very seldom that your blessed to find your equal. Lana Miller. The one girl I'd stop the world for. She wasn't perfect, in fact she was far. But to me, she was close. She had long brunette hair in loose curls to frame her face. Her brown eyes always glistened when the light would skim them. And her pigment was as if a goddess of the sun kissed her. Light freckles dusted over her eye, and she had a small but perfectly imperfect gap in the middle of her teeth. I could fall in love with her all over again. And each time I looked at her, I did. She was my saving grace. And I was hers, for as long as she lived. Now all I can do, is sit here in this empty house, and replay the moments in my mind of her. Of me. Of us.
