20. I'll just emancipate.
"You want to WHAT? " Ethan clenches his fist: "Listen, Fiona, it's not because I hate you. You're a great guardian, you did everything to raise the little ones. I just don't need ya anymore. " Fiona's eyes were desperate: "First Ian, now you. What're you, dropping out or some shit? " Ethan shakes his head: "No, of course not! You know me, Fi. " She looks sceptical: "I thought I knew Ian. " Ethan looks over the kitchen counter, at his big sister and takes a sip of coffee.
"Why are you making this about Ian? " Fiona sighs and hands him a brown bag: "We can talk about you moving out when you make a living. " He puts the bag down his backpack and rolls his eyes: "Whatever. I'll just emancipate. " He slams the door behind him. Fuck her. He loves his sister, but she just didn't get him. He wanted to move in with Pete, at his place. It was a shitty apartment in a meth heads basement, yet it seemed like heaven to him. Pete had been so nice since they got together. He hoped it would stay that way.
