Sirius' POV

I danced with Pitch around the Great Hall, surprised at how well she danced.

"You dance bloody well for a troublemaker," she muttered, pretty much voicing my thoughts. I smirked at her complement.

"Standard procedure for every member of the so called 'Noble' House of Black," I replied, earning a small smile from her.

"Yeah, same for the descendants of the Pitch bloodline," she said softly. The song came to an end, and we stopped dancing to listen to what McGonagall had to say.

"Now, we shall have the Talent Competition. It shall be split into two categories, solos and groups of two or more. We're starting with the solo acts so when I call your name, please come up to the stage and perform your act. Let us begin with... Patrick Parkinson, doing a dance of his own invention," the stern witch announced. The slimy Slytherin started dancing, and ended up looking like a retarded grindylow.

"Hey, Pads. He looks like he's being Crucio'd and Imperiused at the same time," James sniggered. I burst out laughing. The next few performances went by the same: Prongs commenting on the act and me laughing hysterically. Finally, an interesting act was called up.

"Sirius Black, singing a muggle song by... a muggle artist," old Gonnie called, and I walked up to the stage and magically amplified my voice so it would be heard throughout the entire Great Hall.

"Well, uh, I'm going to be singing a muggle song called 'Hero' by a muggle artist named Enrique Iglesias. It's a song dedicated to a very special girl out there," I said, grabbing an acoustic guitar. The song was for Pitch, so I could complete my bet with James. Taking a deep breath, I started playing.

Let me be your hero (whisper)

Would you dance,
If I asked you to dance?
Would you run,
And never look back?
Would you cry,
If you saw me crying?
Would you save my soul tonight?

Would you tremble,
If I touched your lips?
Would you laugh,
"Oh, please tell me this,"
Now, would you die,
For the one you love?
Hold me in your arms tonight.

I can be your hero, baby,
I can kiss away the pain,
I will stand by you forever,
You can take my breath away.

Would you swear,
That you'll always be mine?
Or would you lie?
Would you run and hide?

Am I in too deep?
Have I lost my mind?
I don't care,
You're here tonight.

I can be your hero, baby,
I can kiss away the pain,
I will stand by you forever,
You can take my breath away.

[Instrumental]

Oh, I just wanna hold you,
I just wanna hold you, oh yeah,

Am I in too deep?
Have I lost my mind?
Well I don't care,
You're here tonight...

I can be your hero, baby,
I can kiss away the pain, oh yeah,
I will stand by you forever,
You can take my breath away.

And I can be your hero!
I can kiss away the pain.
And I will stand by you, forever!
You can take my breath away,
You can take my breath away,
I can be your hero.

I finished the song, and everyone started cheering. Girls were screaming my name as if the song was for them. I returned my voice to normal before putting the guitar down and walking off the stage.

Pitch's POV

For some absurd reason, when Black was singing that dumb love song, I felt a pang of jealousy for the girl he was singing to, before I realised that it was impossible for him to love. He only breaks hearts.

"Well done, Mr Black. Now, Pitch, also singing a muggle song," McGonagall announced. I smiled, happy that Dumbledore had taken my wish into consideration. I walked up to the stage and magnified my voice.

"This song is for someone who seems to have stolen my heart, and only one of my best friends could make me realise it. The song is sort of old, but it pretty good, and is called 'Incomplete' by the muggle band 'the Backstreet Boys'," I said, before the music -to the song Lily chose- began.

Empty spaces,
Fill me up with holes,
Distant faces,
With no place left to go.
Without you, within me,
I can find no rest,
Where I'm going,
Is anybody's guess...

I've tried to go on like I never knew you,
I'm awake, but my world is half-asleep,
I pray, for this heart to be unbroken,
But without you all I'm going to be is,
Incomplete...

Voices tell me,
I should carry on,
But I am swimming,
In an ocean all alone.
Baby, my baby,
It's written on your face,
You still wonder,
If we made a big mistake...

I've tried, to go on like I never knew you,
I'm awake, but my world is half-asleep,
I pray, for this heart to be unbroken,
But without you all I'm going to be is...
Incomplete...

I don't mean to drag it on,
But I can't seem to let you go,
I don't wanna make you face this world alone,
I wanna let you know, oh...

I've tried, to go on like I never knew you,
I'm awake, but my world is half-asleep,
I pray, for this heart to be unbroken,
But without you all I'm going to be is...
Incomplete...
Incomplete...

I finished singing, and realised I had tears creeping down past my cheeks. People were just looking at me, a deafening silence filling the Great Hall.

"For my worst enemy," I said, before returning my voice to normal. When I walked off the stage, Lily ran up to me, squealing.

"Calm down, Flower," I said, grabbing the hyperactive girl by the shoulders.

"That. Was. Brilliant! D'you think he knows it was for him?" Lily questioned, grinning like a fool. I shrugged, but didn't answer.

"Sooo... guess what?" she asked. Before I could answer, she carried on.

"James just asked me to be his girlfriend, and I said yes!" she squeaked. I punched her shoulder lightly.

"That's great," I said weakly, ignoring the sinking feeling in my chest as I watched Black walk over to a girl in a frilly pink princess dress. I looked back at Lily, who was still talking about Potter.

"Hey, Lils, I'm going outside. I need some air. Oh, and I'm not doing that stupid group thing," I muttered, walking away. She just kept talking, not even noticing my absence. I stopped off at a table full of assorted sweets, and grabbed a Cherry Stain Pop. They tasted alright, and it would stain my mouth blood red until I cast a cleaning charm on my mouth, and was perfect for what I was about to do. With that, I turned around and headed to my worst enemy, even worse than Snotty Potty Peacehaven. Sirius Black.

Sirius' POV

I stood talking to Danelique, or rather, I stood listening to her ramble about how hot we would look together.

"-and that song you sang for me was just so adorable," she finished, batting her eyelashes. I fought the urge to vomit as I looked into her blue eyes.

"Dani, I didn't sing that for you. I do not feel like that for you, so take your sickening costume away from me, and find someone else to try and screw," I said calmly. Tears welled up in her eyes and she ran away screaming. As I watched her run away, someone cleared their throat behind me. I turned around, and saw Pitch, one hand holding a Cherry Stain Pop, and the other on her hip.

"Black, I need to talk to you about a few things. Come with me," she said, the words tumbling out of her blood-red lips. I followed her out of the Great Hall, where she just stopped in the middle of the corridor.

"Sorry about this," she apologized, before conjuring up a blind fold and tying it around my eyes.

"What's this for?" I inquired, as she grabbed my wrist and pulled me up some stairs.

"Where I'm taking you is so secret and so hidden, not even Dumbledore can enter it without either me, Lily, Artemis or Rita," Pitch replied, and the rest of the journey was silent, save for my grumbles about the many stairs. Pitch stopped suddenly, and since I couldn't see, I bumped into her back.

"Sorry," I muttered, taking a step back. She removed the blindfold, and I noticed that we were standing in an unfamiliar corridor. We stood by a portrait of a werewolf, a doe, a mouse and a black dog with a red patch on its shoulder, standing in a forest clearing during a full moon.

"The werewolf is Artemis, the mouse is Rita, the doe is Lily and the dog is me," she said quietly. Pitch placed her finger on the dog, which howled, and the portrait swung open to reveal a dark tunnel. I lit my wand, and followed the girl into the darkness, to get to a cozy-looking room full of bookshelves, a warm, crackling fire and five armchairs.

"That's strange. Usually there's only four chairs," Pitch muttered, confused. She approached the fifth chair, running her fingers over the writing embroidered on the back. She frowned as she spoke her next words.

"Who's Padfoot?"
