8. Chapter 8 Visit-Mia's pov
When I had walked into maya's room i was not prepared for what i saw, she was lying on the bed with so many casts and i.vs you could hardly see her, and her face, it was so pale almost white and her expression was one of confusement and pain. just seeing her like that had made me want to cry but i couldn't, not in front of maya. She hadn't been able to tell the lights were on, was there something wrong with her eyes? When I left her room I ran down the hall and sat on my bed and started to cry. I heard a quiet knock on my door and looked up, it was my mom. "Honey, it's time to go." she said it so quietly it was hard to hear. She looked as if she had been awake all night crying, she hadn't even bothered to fix her makeup, it was all smeared down her face. I nodded and followed her out of the room. neither of us were in the mood to drive so we caught a cab home. the driver looked at us but didn't question our tear stained faces and rumpled clothes, instead he just asked were we were going. "473 Kings wald ave." I said and he nodded and started driving. On the way home I checked my phone, 1037 new messages, who could've sent so many? I was only at the hospital for two days. most of them were from my boyfriend Tyler, maya's boyfriend Ethan and our best friend carry asking why we weren't responding and what happened and if we were ok. They must of watched the news. I quickly texted them back with a short answer explaining that I was coming home but maya would be at the hospital for another 2 weeks to a month and then turned on my music.
