3. Chapter 3 The hospital-Maya's pov
Beep! Beep! Beep! I awoke to the urgent sound of beeping. I groaned and attempted to roll over, trying to shut out the noise. My head hurt terribly and this racket wasn't helping. Just then I heard footsteps resounding from far down the hall. A familiar female voice rang out above the other, much deeper man's voice. "How is she doing?" she asked. " She is doing fine but shall have to stay for around another few weeks so we can do tests and make sure nothing is dangerously wrong." " Another couple of weeks!" the lady screeched." What about Mia? Oh my precious babies." she started to cry. " Mia is fine. She just fainted. I would have to imagine it would be hard on her to watch a car crash, especially if her sister was in the middle of it." " Oh. I'll be back tomorrow to check on Maya." Still crying steadily the lady left, her heels clicking on the clean, hospital floor. After a brief pause the man continued towards my room. "Maya." He said. I turned around trying to see him. Black. All black. I heard the soft click of a light being turned on but still all i saw was pure rigid darkness. A shiver ran down my back and I gasped in fear. I started to panic, why was it so dark? "Maya, are you awake?" The man continued to try to get my attention. I wanted to let him know I was awake and could here him but as I could hardly turn over it was nearly impossible. I lifted my hand in a feeble attempt to catch his attention. The man must have understood I was awake because he left the room headed in the same direction he'd just come from. My eyes were tired, tired of the blackness that surrounded them and I was confused, where was I? Who were those people? Questions ran through my head, not helping my pounding headache. I drifted off into a reckless sleep, my dreams created twisted, terrifying answers giving me nightmares and worrying me with the millions of questions that had been tormenting me since I first was awakened.
