"Is all this really necessary?" I asked as I layer on my bed.
"Yes, maybe if you didn't sneak out so much like last night, then I wouldn't have to resort like this. Your going to make matters worse for your mother" my aunt said as she nailed my window shut.
"Just be good Lina, if you want to go out ask and not past eleven".
She walked out and I grabbed my phone to see a missed call from Gabe.
I called him back but no answer. I grabbed some shorts and a crop top and walked outside. The sun was warm as it hit my skin.
I walked toward the ocean and sat down and put my feet into the sand. I suddenly saw a shadow so I turned to see, by my surprise, Christian.
"W-what are you doing here?".
"I can't visit the beach?".
"I mean next to me" I laughed.
"Well I hate to see people looking lonely" he smiled big at me.
"Or you love my presence" I smiled.
" Where do you live?" I asked.
"Woah, so you can stalk me? I'm smarter than that" he smiled goofily.
"Shut up" I laughed " where?".
" I live about three houses down from you" he said pointing to a White House.
"So we were bound to meet".
He smiled big and looked me in the eyes " let's call it fate instead".
We stood silent for a little while.
"So any news on this mystery?".
I shook my head, "no".
"She hasn't said anything?".
"She did say something weird to me earlier while she was nailing my window shut".
"Nailing your window shut?" He laughed.
"Yup , consequences of sneaking out ".
"So what did she say?".
"She said not to make matters worse for my mom" I said not looking at him.
"Worse?" He asked.
" honestly I didn't know anything was bad at all" I said shrugging.
"Well now we have to figure out what's going on " he said.
"But how, she's not going to tell me anything".
"She won't have to. There's a little thing called snooping" he smiled.
"Smart kid" I smiled big.
"Okay so do you want to look through the phone or stuff?".
"Phone seems like it would hold much more information" I said.
I stood up. "Let's go".
"Wait. Right now?" He asked.
I nodded "what time is better than now" I reached out my hand.
He held my hand and got up, but didn't let go of it till we got to the house.
"So I'll distract her and give you the phone and you see what you can find" I said.
I walked in but left the front door open a bit.
"Hey!" I said.
My aunt smiled " hey sweetie, you hungry?".
I nodded and saw her phone on the counter. I grabbed it quickly and walked to the door and handed it to him. My aunt had her head in the fridge.
Me and her talked out food and such until finally I heard a knock at the door.
"I'll get it!" I said.
"No no sweetie I'll get it" my aunt said.
She opened the door and there standing there was Christian.
