The next day Tanya went shopping in the market with Sonia The walked along the promenade wearing a sarong and a light coloured blouse; they bypassed all of the novelty shops until they came to the clothes shops that they liked and went in. they tried on rail after rail of dresses, skirts, and blouses before choosing something to wear.’
Tanya bought herself three pairs of shorts that she could walk around England in and two pairs of sandals. Sonia bought a lovely blue coloured evening dress, a handbag, and a pair of matching sandals. They stopped for coffee in a local bar. Sonia talked about the party that she had been to the night before.
“Colin does like to spoil me you know; not that I see much of him he spent most of the evening talking with Paul King his friend from Puerto de Carmen.
I don’t know what he has to spend the entire evening talking to him about; I do not get involved in my husbands affairs.
Tanya wanted to tell her friend what her husband was mixed up in but knew that see would go straight to Colin and tell him and her cover would be shot to shit.
Instead she made light of it by saying. “You know what boys are like when they get together.’
Tanya took out a packet of chewing gum after she had finished her coffee to freshen her breath, she offered the packet to Sonia who declined saying the gum stuck to her dentures. Sonia Sarin was considerably older than Tanya but had looked after herself. She went swimming every morning in the 25 metre pool that her husband had made for her. She swam fifty lengths each morning before breakfast. Tanya was lucky she didn’t really need to exercise but chose instead to do yoga classes with meditation that helped her to relax.
They got a taxi back to the villa and Tanya took a shower and changed into the shorts she had brought and a clean blouse. She made sure that she had attached the wire under her bra strap. The micro phone was attached to a brooch in the shape of a lizard which could be bought anywhere on the island so that it didn’t look too conspicuous.
Colin asked her if she had enjoyed her shopping trip with his wife.’
“Yes I did Colin you know I could have bought up the whole shop but I don’t think that they would have fit in my case.’
Colin laughed. We are going out again tonight to a restaurant for dinner; I hope that you will come along to keep Sonia company whilst I do some business.’
“Don’t worry it wont take me long.’
That’s fine Colin; you just do what you have to do I have to get back tomorrow so we won’t be making it too late will we?’
“No Cinderella, we will be home before twelve I’m sure laughed Colin. I suggest a siesta this afternoon.
“What’s the name of this restaurant that we are going to anyway?’
It’s called the Blue Crocodile in Puerto de Carmen.
“It sounds very exotic Colin.’
“The food there is splendid and they play some live music and entertainment which you will enjoy I’m sure.’
“I better go and have that siesta then.’
“What time is your flight in the morning?
“It takes off at 7am but I will need to be there two hours before.’
Well we will complete our little business venture before you leave.’
