“I think so; if what you say is true.’

“Here is the address of the lock up where the money is.’

“Why didn’t you just take his money and run.’

He knows people and sooner or later we would have been caught.’ There are three others who you will have to deal with to get your hands on the cash.

“Names said Wolfie?

Melvyn Gunn and Harry Buck and Ernie Kay his driver; they are his connection to the outside and if he can buy his protection inside then we are both screwed.

“I get your point.’

Leave this with me Barry; I can assure you that Mr Ingles will be put to sleep forever.

Melvyn Gunn and Harry Buck had Ernie Kay drive them into North Shields.

Now the cops are going to be looking for this and we need to stash it somewhere where the pigs will never dream of looking.’

“Baldwin’s house?’

“Give that man a Crackerjack pencil.’

“He won’t look after six kilo’s of Cocaine;

“No he won’t but he will take care of the car in his garage at work and that is where he will be now.’

They stopped whilst Mel opened a false compartment in the boot and placed the bag of cocaine inside then screwed it back up again.’

“How are we going to get him to keep the car?’

“We tell him to check the engine over and that it will not be needed for a month. By then Darren will be out on the street and we come and collect the car and everything is sweet.’

“Brilliant plan said Ernie as they drove through Byker and on towards Wallsend.

It was just after two o’clock when they arrived at the garage in North Shields and Alan young showed them where Des was.’

“Desmond smiled Ernie; remember me.’

“If you guys have come for a refund think again; just turn around and drive away.’

“Don’t be so hasty Desmond; Mr Ingles was so impressed with your work he has asked me if you will check his engine for him and see if you can get a few more miles out of her.’

The engine is old and may need replacing.’

“Can you do it?’

“Yes, but it’s a big job;

“How much?’

“I don’t know; could be at least a grand if we need to change the engine altogether.’

“Here’s fifteen hundred. “ Let me know if you need any more.’ Now call us a taxi to take us up to the town again.’

Des looked at the other two men who now stepped out of the car.

Alan shouted Des; ring Blue Line and get these men a taxi straight away.’

Alan picked up the free phone line and ordered the cab.’

“It’s on its way.’

The men thanked Des and told him that they would come back and collect the car in a few weeks because Darren was away on business.’

Sunning himself in Spain no doubt said Harry.’

 It’s warm enough here at the moment said Des.’

“Aye you’re right there; but his bird likes to sit around the pool you know.’
