Colin waited until they left with the ornamental wooden box wrapped up.

He sat and rubbed his brow and actually felt sorry for Tanya.’

It was a necessary evil though because without her innocence he would not be living like a king in Tenerife

The plane landed in Manchester and Barry thanked the hostesses as he left and said he hoped to see them all again very soon. He winked at Abby as he got off.’

They got their cases and went to find a hotel. Travel lodge was the cheapest place to hide out whilst trying to contact Wolfie Willis. So they booked one big room with two double rooms. It was clean and basic but they were only going to sleep there.

At seven o’clock that evening Barry rang Abby on the number she had given him and they agreed to meet at Albert’s restaurant on Barlow Moor Road.

They took a cab to the restaurant and sat waiting for the girls to show. They were all dressed smartly in suits and ties on Barry’s orders. Rob wasn’t one for wearing a suit but did as Barry said.’

Now be polite gentlemen and we are half way there; and remember to give them your little gift when they come in.’

The girls showed up at around eight o’clock.

Barry stood up and pulled out a seat for Abby Wainwright the tall and slim Liverpudlian.’ She had let down her hair and was wearing a beautiful red dress and black heels. You look so nice that I hardly recognised you said Barry.’

“Yes they look nice don’t they said Mickey.

Here this is for you for looking after us on our flight.’ Barry handed her the perfume.’

“Well I cannot call you a cheap skate can I she said in her scouse accent.’

The others introduced themselves. Denise Ellerby was from North Shields and they told her that they were from Just up the road. ’Heather Brannigan was from Harrogate, and Jane Soulsby from London. “What can I get you ladies to drink asked Barry?’

Could we have a Vodka and lemonade please?’

“Doubles or trebles Barry laughed and it broke the ice.’

The Girls started to relax as the waiter came over and they ordered the drinks and asked to see the menu.’

“So Barry, you know what we do; but what do you do?’

“I’m a property developer.’

“Really looking at those biceps I would have said that you were a fighter.’

Actually you’re not far wrong there; I was a fighter and the money I made from the ring I’ve invested.’

“My friends and I were out in Tenerife looking into buying three hotels. The Luz de Luna, Luz de Sol, and the Luz de las Estrallas.’

“The man selling them was a right crook. He wanted more than the hotels were worth so we pulled out of the deal.’

“Really so what are your plans now?’

“Well if you really want to know my plan is to get you slightly drunk so that I can have my wicked way with you.’

“You don’t need to get me drunk to do that she laughed.’

“I like you Abby, you’re so direct.’

“We Kirkby girls all like a bit of fun.’

They all chose something from the menu and the waiter asked if they would like wine with their meal.
