26. Chapter 26
Over the course of the next few weeks, work went smoothly.
I visited Harry at the garage when I could and I was finally earning some money of my own.
I was so happy at what I was doing that I had decided to take Harry out for dinner for his birthday.
His birthday was in just a few days and I was hoping that he'd like the present I was gonna give him.
So as I drove up to the garage, I smiled and watched him as he met my gaze.
This time, he was standing up(Which was very rare for me to find).
Typically, he'd be laying on the ground fixing something.
I get out of my car and walk up to him. "Hey there hotshot."
"Hello beautiful." He says pulling me to him by my hips and kissing me.
"How are you?" He asks after he pulls away.
Smiling, I look into his eyes which always entrance me. "I'm good, I came to ask you something."
"Oh? And what would that be?" He asks.
"I want to take you out to dinner for your birthday." I say smiling.
He chuckles. "You don't have to do that."
"I know, but I want to." I say.
Looking into my eyes, he smiles and pecks my lips. "Only if you'd like to."
"Which I would." I say smiling. "And you're picking where we'll be eating."
He smiles. "Alright."
"But, you can't choose anything like Mcdonalds or anything like that." I say.
He chuckles, kissing my hand. "Ok."
Smiling, I kiss his cheek. "So I'll see you Saturday?"
"Of course," He smiles at me. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."
I blush slightly and he holds my hands.
"So," I say looking around the garage. "What are you busy doing today?"
"Well, not much. No one has come in yet." He says.
"No one? At all?" I ask.
He chuckles. "Unless you count Mr. Henley, who came to talk to my boss."
I look around. "Then why won't your boss let you off for the rest of the day?"
"Well, I don't know. I guess he just hasn't given up yet." Harry says.
Giggling, I kiss his cheek again. "Well, if you get off early, feel free to swing by the house. I wanna spend some time with you."
He smiles at me. "I will, be careful and I love you."
"I love you too and you be careful." I say smiling.
He pecks my lips and then releases me, I get into my car and leave. ################# When I arrive home, I find Josie in the kitchen with Tristian.
"Hello you two." I say smiling.
They had really become quite close within the past few weeks, as had Harry and I.
I looked around and then noticed what they were doing.
"You're cooking dinner?" I ask, looking at the two of them.
They both nod, smiling. "Yeah, we figured we'd do this instead of going out or something."
"Well, don't let me stop you two, I'll eat a sandwich after you two are finished." I say.
Josie shakes her head. "You're eating with us--And is Harry coming?"
"Possibly, the garage has been kinda slow today. He's just waiting on his boss to call it." I say.
She smiles and nods. "Ok, just wondering how much we should make."
I nod. "Would you like for me to---"
"You go rest, it's been a long week for you." She orders.
I put my hands up in defense, heading for the living room. "Alright, I'm gone, I'm gone."
I go into the living room and lay on the couch, closing my eyes and resting.
Although, sometime later I wake to the feeling of an arm around me.
"Did he release you?" I asked thinking it was Harry.
"Finally." He said confirming my guess.
I giggled, opening my eyes.
Harry smiles, looking into my eyes. "Oh and you missed dinner."
I groaned. "I needed rest."
"That's why Josie didn't wake you. Her and Tristian went out to go see a movie." He says. "So, we're alone."
Sitting up, I watch him. "So you've been watching me this whole time?"
"Yeah, it's very relaxing....In a strange way." He says.
I giggle and he pulls me close.
"So, what time on Saturday?" He asks.
For a moment, I'm confused, but then I remember his birthday.
"How is five?" I ask.
He nods. "That's fine."
After finally waking up, we go eat dinner and then find our way back into the living room.
We decide to watch TV and just as the episode comes to an end, Josie and Tristian come home.
I smile, watching them. "How was the movie?"
"Hilarious." Josie was still laughing and I just smiled.
They came and sat down in the living room and we all talked for awhile.
It was fun to finally get some time with Josie, it was something we hadn't had in a while.
