23. Chapter 23
I was smiling like an idiot as Harry came to sit on the couch.
It had been a week since he took me to the cemetery and since then, Harry and I had grown stronger.
Although I had trust issues before, I was a lot stronger and better now.
Snuggling up to him, I gazed at the gummy bears Harry had placed on the table, along with Pepsi Vanilla.
He wrapped his arm around me as we began watching A Walk To Remember.
It had become one of my favorites and I smiled as it began.
Harry nuzzled his nose into my hair and kissed my head. "How was your day?"
"It was great, but lonely." I say looking up at him.
He smiles, looking down at me. "So was mine."
Slowly, he covered his lips with mine and I smiled.
As we both slowly pulled away from each other, we gazed into each others eyes.
"Did you get that job you applied for?" He asked as he continued to gaze into my eyes.
I shook my head. "I actually don't know yet."
He pulled me closer. "You know, out of all places, Josie swayed you to pick Starbucks?"
I giggled. "It could be worse."
He laughed. "Yeah, you could be at Kmart with her boss."
We laughed together.
I was just beginning to watch the movie, when I heard Harry's voice.
"How would you like to go stargazing at the track tomorrow night?" He asks.
Smiling, I kissed his cheek. "I'd love to."
With that we continued watching our movie. ################# As the sky grew began to grow dark, Harry drove towards the track.
The stars were just starting to come out and I smiled, taking it in.
The sunset was beautiful and as Harry drove his Camaro towards the track, I watched his focused expression.
I had some good news to tell him and I bet that he'd be more than happy.
Stargazing was a favorite of mine for two reasons.
You could talk with the person and you got an incredible look at the nights sky.
Harry took hold of my hand as he pulled into the tracks parking lot.
He drove through the gates and into the racing area where he parked in the middle of the field.
I smiled as we got out and he placed the blankets on the hood of his Camaro.
He sat on top and then I got on, both of us were smiling.
The sun had disappeared from the sky but the orange and pink colors were still shining bright.
As they soon faded into the night, I watched the stars come out, one by one.
Our fingers laced themselves together and it made me smile even more.
"I've got something to tell you." I said as I tried to make my smile stay as it was and not get any bigger.
It was an incredibly hard task and I found myself giving up, my smile growing.
"Alright, what are you surprising me with this time?" He asks smiling as he slowly turns his head my way.
I giggled because just last week, I surprised him with some new stuff for his car.
He was so surprised that he didn't even move and I had found it quite halarious.
"I got the job." I said and his eyes brightened.
"You did?" He asked in a happily surprised way.
"Yes!" I say smiling and nodding my head.
He was extremely happy for me and had suggested he take me out to dinner before I started.
I would be starting my job at Starbucks on Monday so I had one day left.
"I'll take you out tomorrow." He says smiling at me.
"No, I'd much rather you cook if you're going to do anything. You're really good at it." I said smiling and his smile widened.
"I can do that. I'm so happy you got the job!" He kissing my hand.
"Me too." I said as I snuggled closer to him.
The stars were beautiful and bright.
Along with the almost-full moon, the place looked very bright.
Even though we wanted to stay out there all night, he took me home and we made plans for tomorrow.
As the night went on I kept thinking about him, making sleeping quite a challenge.
He was so sweet and kind and caring...With a bit of danger hidden in him as well, but I liked it.
