Madison has always been the type to keep a guy around for only a few days and then dump him. But when someone catches her eye and she can't shake him off what does she do? This guy is like no other guy she's ever seen or met before....Something's different.... He drags her into his world forcing her into unknown territory. She feels lost and slightly scared---She's never been in love before and she's never wanted to be. Serious relationships aren't her thing, but she'll soon be finding out that she can't just shake him off like all the other guys. "He's like a poison in my system---I can't shake him off! He drags me in and I'm trying to stay away, but I can't...I guess its just in his DNA."

1. Chapter 1

In the beginning, I never knew that he would have this affect on me....I thought that he was just some random guy standing in the corner with a drink in hand talking to some of his friends...But boy was I wrong...Big time.
When his eyes connected with mine I knew he was different--I knew he was trouble--But that never stopped me from being curious about him.
Then again, I'm getting ahead of myself in this story. You want to know it all right? Well, sit back and let me tell you about this boy's DNA that took my breath away....
#################   It was sunny outside and the day couldn't have been prettier. L.A. was beautiful in the Summer, but when it rained it was terrible.
As of right now, Josie and I were laying out back on our lounge chairs in the sun.
Josie was a very close friend of mine, although sometimes we'd go weeks and months without saying a word to one another.
Our personalities were almost the same....Almost.
I closed my eyes and smiled at the feeling of the sun on my skin.
Josie, though, turned on the radio that sat in between us and Nickelback started blaring.
I laughed softly because it was her favorite song and I knew that she was probably dancing out of her seat.
When I opened my eyes and glanced over at her, I found my words to be too true. She was already standing up and shaking her hips along to the beat.
"Don't laugh at me Madison, you know that you have to dance to anything Fall Out Boy." She stated and I lifted my hands up in defense.
"Ok, ok, that's fair." I say smiling.
As the song drifted to an end, she slowly sat back down and I smiled at her.
"Did you get your dancing out or would you like me to play the song on my phone?" I teased.
She shot me a playful glare and I just laughed.
"Would you like me to go find Colten so you can tell him you're  bored with him?" She launches her response.
My eyes widen and my mouth drops. "Josie, I can't believe you!"
"Well, you asked for it when you teased my Nickelback." She says shrugging as she lays back.
I laugh. "Colten knows that I'm not one for serious relationships."
"But he still thinks that he can make you change your mind." She says.
"Sleeping with him is not going to change my mind and you know my rule." I say. "I don't sleep with any of my boy-toys. I just make-out with them."
She shakes her head. "You know, Colten is a really sweet guy who has it bad for you."
"You know, I'm not the serious relationship type and I won't ever be." I say.
"Never say never, Madison." She says and I get up.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." I mumble heading inside to get a soda from the fridge.
As I step through the door into the air-conditioned, I shiver.
It felt good inside, but after being outside in the heat for the past half hour, I felt a little cold.
I opened th fridge and grabbed a Pepsi.
To be honest, I preferred Pepsi over Coke any day, but I really liked Coke Vanilla.
The Pepsi Vanilla was better in my opinion, but you could never find it anywhere!
I opened the bottle and just as I was about to head back outside, Josie came in.
"Madi, there's a party tonight at Carly's place." She said in a sing-song voice that made it clear she was going and she was excited.
"Really?" I asked, not that excited.
"Come on, it'll be fun." She said.
"You said that last time," I said leaning again the bar, taking a sip of my Pepsi. After I set my bottle back down, I continued what I was going to say. "And we ended up leaving early because the party was a complete bore."
She frowned. "It's because she had it through the week. She's learned her party lesson."
I shake my head. "I don't know Jose, I don't want to get dressed up just to leave and have nothing to do."
"Well...." She said and I watched her closely. "Nathan is also having a party, so if it's boring at Carly's place, we can alway head to Nathan's."
"How about this...." I say. "We go to Nathan's and then later on we'll find out how Carly's party was. Then, we can see if we want to go next time."
Josie nodded and I smiled.
"Good. Now, what time is Nathan's party?" I asked before taking another sip of my drink.
"It starts at nine-thirty." She says smirking. "Oh and, just a heads up, Taylor is gonna be there."
"As in my ex-boyfriend Taylor?" I ask.
"Yep, that's the one." She says as she goes to the stairs. "Oh and so will your other boyfriends.."
I look up at her wide-eyed. "How many?"
"Just the five from last month. Marcus, Nate, Tyler, Arron and Will...Plus Taylor from this month." She says, making me groan.
"Are you kidding me?" I say more to myself than anyone.
"Nope. Get used to it Madison." She says. "If you want to date everyone, then be prepared to meet everyone of your past flames."
I groan as she disappears up the stairs.
Why did she not mention that before?!
Maybe I could tell her that I want to go to Carly's party instead....Anything would be better than facing or running into any of them.
Now that I know what I'm in for, I guess I'll have to live with it and prepare for it.
Glancing at the clock, I realize I have four full hours.
I start to make my way into the living room when I hear the doorbell.
Frezzing in my tracks, I knew that that was probably Colten.
He loved to come and visit me and in a way, I liked his frequent visits. He was one of the best kissers that I'd been with.
I waslked to the door and opened it to find him standing there looking sexier than ever.
"Hey Colt." I say smiling at him.
"Hey baby." He said in that husky tone that sent shivers down my back.
Now the fun would begin....Oh how I wished I could keep him, but he had been with me for way too long.
