“This is weird,” I frown, looking away from the half-dressed, dancing women on the stage. “How much longer?”

“Until your brother cheers up,” Monica sighs.

“That could take a while,” I glance at my glum brother.

“The break up is hitting him hard,” Phoebe rubs her stomach. “And this better start working.”

“So, Ross went out on a date with Rachel’s boss’s niece, right?” I look between the girls.

“That’s correct,” Monica nods. “Her name is Emily, she’s from England. Ross seems to really like her.”

“That’s good. If he gets a girl, maybe he won’t be so annoying.”

          “That would be nice.”

“Chandler isn’t making any progress,” Phoebe groans.

“Well, I have to leave soon,” I glance down at my watch. “I have a date.”

“Aw, Ashley, that’s awesome,” Monica pats my shoulder. “What’s his name.”

“Joseph,” my mouth says before my brain realizes what I’ve said.

“Hm, sounds like someone we know,” Monica smirks.

“Don’t say anything,” I stand up, gathering my items. “At least I don’t date people I help with clothes shopping or whatever.”

“Rachel and Ross are meant to be together,” Phoebe crosses her arms over her chest. “They are lobsters.”

I smile, “If they are meant to be, then they will get together. For now, I have to go. See you girls later. Bye Chandler,” I look over at my brother.

          “Bye,” he mumbles.

          “Please fix him.”

          “We will try,” Monica sighs.

I nod and exit the strip joint, feeling so much better when I’m out in the fresh air.

After walking for some time, I make it to the restaurant that Joey and I made our meeting spot. He’s standing near the door, hands in his pockets, waiting for me.

“Hi Joseph,” I smile as I step up next to him.

Joey smirks and looks down at me, “I like that. Any reason you used my full name?”

“That’s what came out of my mouth when asked your name. And I like it.”

“Well then, Ashley,” he leans down and gives me a kiss. “Let’s have dinner and then share more kisses.”

I grab one of his hands with one of mine. “Let’s go then.”
