"Taylor! Darling! I'm so proud of you." Mum says as she kisses me on the cheek.
"Darling, you have made us very proud!"
My dad says.
"Do you want to go to the celebration party?" My mum asks, smiling.
"No, I think I'd rather stay home." I say, shrugging my shoulders.
"Okay darling, what ever suits you."
We walk to the car and I hop in; plugging in my ear buds.
Music starts blasting in my ears and I close my eyes, falling into a deep sleep.
25 minutes later
My eyes open suddenly before SMASH, the wind screen breaks and our car collided into another car. The car rolls then I feel a horrible lurch. My seat belt breaks and the glass smashes. I fall onto the grass, my body rolls and then - I feel the worst possible feeling ever. I was freely falling. I cry out "help!" and then thud. I land on my back. The pain was nothing you could describe.
Everything becomes dark and I try grasp onto life but somehow, I can't.
5 hours later
I hear voices around me. What is going on? There's a lot of chatter going on. Suddenly I'm moving. I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out. I grasp onto whatever my hands are on. It feels soft, maybe some fabric? I try to recall what's happened. Who am I? I'm Taylor and I'm 17, I have a mum and a dad and I love sports. I love to run. Running! Olympic trials! I qualified!!! I go go sit up but I'm reminded of this horrible, horrible pain.
"Doctors, she's waking."
Who's she? My mother? My Aunty?
I try to remember how I got hurt. It was something bad. Very bad. Suddenly I remember the lurching feeling. Snapping, falling.
Wait, that means I'm waking up.
Suddenly everything goes black and all I can hear is nurses shouting.
My mind goes blank and I go deeper and deeper than ever before, falling and falling.
