The handsome, dark haired man was sitting in his fine leather chair, staring through the window of his office, located on the top floor of "Malinson Enterprise".
Zayn Malik, CEO - was the name and title written on the door of his spacious office.
He was frowning, utterly displeased. He didn't like when other people were the ones setting the terms. He was used to the game being played by his rules and his rules only.
In this case, it seemed that he didn't have any other option, but to give into the old man's demands. He hated all businessmen, especially the ones he couldn't control. He didn't like losing. As always, he was already brainstorming about a way out of this mess. It was a matter of victory or massive failure and he wasn't sure he could deal with the second consequence.
The only thing that mattered to him was to become even more powerful than he already was. He loved the feeling of having the whole world under his feet and that he could create his own destiny. He couldn't risk not signing this contract under his terms because he knew the stakes were to high. He couldn't afford to lose.
The only thing Zayn ever strived for since he was younger was to become and stay one of the richest man in New York, if not the whole country. He loved money and the lifestyle of a millionaire. He made an empire out of nothing, it was only logical that he would enjoy the luxurious life that he earned for himself. He sacrificed a lot so he could have everything. Now he did.
He was only thirty - three but he already had more than most people acquire in their entire life and he wasn't planning on stopping soon. He didn't care about anything, except for expanding his empire, making more money and having even more power. He didn't want love or a family, but he did indulge himself in various women, which always ended in one night stands. After all, he was a man, he had to satisfy his needs and get rid of all the frustration and stress. It was crucial, otherwise he wouldn't be able to function.
Even next to all these women, none managed to hold his attention. He managed to seduce every woman he wanted. How could he not? He was rich, powerful and in cases when wealth wasn't crucial to his prey, women would throw themselves at him because he was extremely handsome. Many of them would say that it was impossible to turn him down.
Tall, with slicked back, black hair and mesmerizing, chocolate brown eyes. When he looked at you with them it was as he was gazing straight into your soul. Thin, but nothing less attractive, lips, high cheekbones and a sharp jawline were only some of the features that made him irresistible.
He always wore tailored suits, that fit him perfectly, accentuating his masculine figure. The long sleeves were a perfect cover for his countless tattoos. They were the only thing he couldn't resist in his youth.
He radiated charm and sex appeal, but also authority. He could seduce like no one else, hiding his cold and reserved personality very well. He was also well aware of all these qualities and used them to the max.
The loud opening of the door snapped him out of his thoughts and back to reality. He frowned, as his business partner and best friend came marching into his office. Louis Tomlinson, maybe the only man that Zayn trusted completely and without any question.
They grew up together in one of the poorest cities in England. With their combined ambitions, smarts and hunger for wealth and power, they created everything. They were like brothers, although they were different as night and day. Nevertheless they got along perfectly.
''Did you get it?'', he asked energetically.
''No.'', he hated to admit defeat, ''Didn't I tell, like a million times, to knock before you come in.'', Zayn hissed.
''Bro, don't take that anger out on me. It's not my fault the old man won't budge. Did he at least say something new this time?'', Louis asked with a half amused, half worried expression on his face.
His electric blue eyes and light brown hair were a real contrast against Zayn's dark physical features. He was two years older than Zayn, although it sometimes seemed like he was just a teenager. He was a boy at heart, always wearing his hair messy, accompanied with weird dressing combinations, coming to work with rolled up pant legs or in suspenders. He was always cleanly shaved, as if he wanted people to think he was younger than he actually was.
Still, he was very smart and a serious businessman, who executed his work tasks with dedication and efficiency. He helped Zayn get out of bad business deals a countless number of times, which was the exact reason Zayn needed him right now. He was hoping that maybe Louis had an idea, a plan to get out of this delicate situation.
''It's the same story as always. He wants us to give in and lower the price. He keeps stressing that he's the only one interested anyways, which might actually be true. His offer was the only one that came through, although I suspect he paid the rest of them off. No one's interfering for that exact reason.'', he explained.
''I thought the same thing.'', Louis' expression grew darker as he sat in the chair opposite Zayn, ''We can't let him win!''
''I know, yet again...if we sell at a lower price, we might as well give it to him for free, but we'll still make a couple of bucks. If he withdraws, then we're totally screwed, we won't get a cent and we'll be stuck with a company we don't won't.''
''It's still worth a lot more than what he's offering.'', Lou offered his professional opinion.
''And it still won't make a difference. We bought the company cause it was cheap and with the only purpose - to sell it. I don't want to waste money on a business we're not familiar with.'', Zayn explained.
''I agree. So did you come with a solution?'', Louis looked worriedly at his best friend.
''No, I've tried everything we came up with so far, but without any success. I really don't know what else is there to do. Please tell me you have an idea?'', he replied quite desperately.
''Well, I kind of do, but it's a bit crazy. You'll say it's absurd and I'm pretty sure you're gonna turn it down. Maybe it's too much.'', Lou shook his head.
''Why don't you explain it to me first and then we'll see what my reaction will be. I'm ready to do almost anything to not let that geezer win.'', his voice was now laced with excitement.
''It costs nothing to explain it to you.'', Louis shrugged, ''You see, there's...''
Zayn listened carefully as Louis explained. The idea wasn't that crazy. Actually it wasn't that bad at all. Now the only question was - was it going to succeed?
