“I care little for men who seek a trophy to take around and show off to their friends. “ That is why I like you Bobby; I never feel tense when I’m with you.’

I’m just a country boy at heart.’

“I brought my guitar so I could sing you a few songs later.’

“That will be nice; I have never been serenaded to before.’

Driving up the coast road Bobby put his foot down and the car picked up speed,

driving in the fast lane all the way to the Corner House then he reduced his speed as he approached the tunnel which would take him to Jesmond.’

Bobby got out and opened the passenger side for Martine.

“Thank you, chivalry is not dead yet.’

“This way Madam Bobby joked as he held open the door of the restaurant.’

“Bobby was met by a smart looking woman wearing a black trouser suit and a red waistcoat.

“I have seats booked under the name of Wray.’

She checked the book then smiled; this way Mr Wray.’

Bobby held a seat for Martine and she sat down Bobby sat opposite in the dining area that was tastefully decorated.

“Would you care to order drinks?’

“Yes could we have a bottle of house red please?’

“Certainly sir.’

“I think that girl fancies you Bobby, She cannot take her eyes off you.’

“Well there’s only one woman whose got my full attention tonight and she’s sitting opposite me.’

“You certainly know how to say all the right things to a woman; I’ll give you that.’

The waitress brought the wine and the menus and Bobby opened it expertly and poured two glasses out.’

He clinked her glass and said “to a wonderful evening.’

Bobby opened the menu and looked down at the dishes.

The salad with prawns look nice said Martine.’

“Yes, I think we will go for those.’

“What about the Spagettini with seafood for the main course with a garlic pizza.’

“As long as you don’t mind eating garlic said Bobby.’

“If we are both eating it then it won’t matter will it said Martine?’

“Shall we order then?’

“I would or we will not get anything to eat and I’m hungry now.’

Bobby laughed then got the attention of the waitress.’

“Are you ready to order asked the girl?’

“Yes thank you; could we have two prawn salad’s, and for the main could we have Spagettini with seafood and one garlic pizza that we can share.’

The girl wrote the order down in a little notebook then off she went to place the order.

Bobby poured more wine while they waited for their meal.

“What have you done today then asked Bobby.’

“No a lot really; I went into town and did a bit of shopping; came home and tidied up and did the washing. I then had a cup of tea and a biscuit. Ran a bath; and thought about you as I was washing myself.’

“Interesting, please do carry on.’

“Then I dried my hair and set it for tonight. It took me an age to find a suitable dress to wear; I’ve left them all over the bedroom so you will have to excuse the mess.’

“Am I coming back to your house tonight then?’
