The ride back to mine was quiet, but I really didn't mind because my head hurt.
Once I stepped into my house I locked the door, hoping Harry wouldn't pull anything else.
I decided to have some real breakfast and get ready for the day so I could talk to Emily, Tyler, and Sean.
I sat at the cafe waiting for Tyler, because he was the only one who would be making it. The soft wind blew the hair off my face, I closed my eyes, getting all the relaxation I could get for the past three days.
"Hey, Chels." I heard Tyler's voice say.
"Hey. How are you doing?" I asked.
"Pretty good. Sean says he's sorry he couldn't make it. He has family problems right now."
"Oh, it's fine. I hope his family is okay."
"Yeah, they are. Now are you okay? On the phone you seemed a bit rattled."
I began from the beginning, telling him pretty much everything, knowing I had to tell someone just in case something happened to me tomorrow.
"Why haven't you called the authorities, or anything?" He asked.
"I don't know. I don't really see it as harassment, plus there's something about him."
"Chels, he brought you to his house while you were unconscious, and he has verbally abused you."
I paused. Maybe telling Tyler wasn't the best idea. "Tyler, it's fine really. Only call the cops if I don't make it home tomorrow."
There was a loud knock at the door, and right after, three dings from the doorbell. It was still dark. I rubbed my eyes and rolled over to check the time. It showed 11:58pm. What the hell? The doorbell rang again.
"Ugh." I whined getting out of the bed.
I opened the door, and saw the moppy hair, emerald eyes, and evil smile I have grown familiar with the last few days.
"Morning, love." He said walking in the front door. "You better go get packed. We have a long day today."
"When you said the day with you, I didn't think for a full 24 hours. You need to start giving me fair warnings. What do I need to pack for one day?"
"Well, pack like you would be going on a road trip, minus all the clothing, but do pack a swimsuit." He grinned, obviously excited for what he had planned. "Okay get moving."
We got out to the car around 12:15.
"So you ready?" Harry asked.
"As ready as I'll ever be."
He smiled then started to drive. Around 1:39, I decided to close my eyes and sleep."
"Chels. Wake up." Harry said, slightly shaking me. "Get out, and walk around a bit. Go to the bathroom too, if you need to go. This will be our last stop before we arrive. I looked at the clock and saw that it was 5:34am.
"Okay." I said, climbing out of the car. We were at a Sinclair's gas station. I went inside to go to the bathroom, while Harry filled up the gas. When I came back out, Harry was on the phone.
"Yeah, we'll probably be there in an hour or so... I already told you..." He saw that I was coming over. "You know what, I got to go. I'll see you later." He hung up. "You ready to get back on the road?"
"Yeah, sure, who was on the phone with you?" I asked.
"It was just a mate. Got to stop at his house before we go where we want to go."
"Oh, okay." I got back into the car, and he started driving.
I was almost to the house, when Chelsea luckily fell asleep again. I didn't want her to have to go in to that house with me. I wanted it to be a quick stop, in all honesty I didn't even want to stop there.
I turned onto the road where I lived my childhood, then saw the house. When I knocked on the door, my mom let me in.
"Harry? You made it. I thought for sure this time you wouldn't have come. Now where's that girl you were talking about?" She said.
"I don't want her to meet you." I responded, annoyed. "How much do you need this time?"
"Harry, couldn't we just talk for a while, like we used to."
"You mean when I would sit in my room, alone, while you kept yourself high, and whenever I tried to talk to you, you sat there lifeless. Just staring at me. And whenever you were sober, you went out to get more fucking drugs! And every time, when you can't pay for your fucking mistakes, you have to pull me into your shit." I yelled at her, hurt that I was so angry at her.
I started to see her face fill up with anger also. "At least I didn't leave you, like your father did! He was a pussy. Running away from his family."
"No, mom, you left me the day you starting hitting us, and taking advantage of the money I earned. Just take the $500.00. I'm leaving. And the next time you see me, you better hope it wasn't because you asked for more goddamn money."
I opened the door to see Chelsea walking up the sidewalk.
"What the hell are you doing? Get in the fucking car!" I yelled.
"Okay, I just heard yelling, so…"
"Chelsea, get in the fucking car before I have to throw you in." I threatened.
She quickly ran to the car and got in. When I got in I quickly started the car and drove away as fast as I could.
"Harry." Chelsea tried.
"Not right now." I glared at her, then continued driving.
