Bella couldn't tell Niall. She feared he would think she betrayed him and the band. The thought of Niall hating her, broke her heart. She arrived home late that night, after her netting with David, she had to take a long drive to cool down. She walked inside to find Niall at her house sitting on the couch.
"Hey babe!" Niall said getting up and walking over to her. "There you are. I was getting worried about you because you weren't responding to my texts, so I came over here."
"I'm sorry darling, I just went for a drive. I think I'm stressed with all the wedding planning and everything."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner with me? But seeing that your stressed I don't know if you want to go."
"No, no, I think going out and spending time with you is just what I need right now. I'll be ready in a few minutes." Bella walked over and kissed Niall on the check before heading upstairs. Niall followed her into her room. "By the way Hun," she asked after sometime looking at her clothes in the closet. "What kind is restaurant are we going to? I need to know what to wear. And will it just be you and I?"
"Ummm, it's a nice place so dress up. And yes it will just be you and I."
"Okay. I know just the outfit." Bella pulled out a garment bag from the back of the closet and a a shoe box as well. "You know silly me, I should have known it was going to be a fancy place with the way your all dressed up my love."
Niall was wearing a black tux and bow tie. He was so handsome and his hair was his natural brown, with a hint of blonde on the top. Bella walked out of the room into the bathroom and didn't come out for almost half an hour. When she did, she was wearing a blush pink dress and sliver shoes. And her pixie cut was curled on top. Niall gazed on her with awe through his bright blue eyes. Bella blushed and smiled at the ground.
"You, look, amazing!" Niall said almost speechless.
"Come on Niall, I don't any different from when we're at award shows and things like that."
"Yes, that is true. But, tonight I get you all to myself, no reporters, no photographers, no stupid people always asking us questions about our personal life, which they have no right to anyway. Tonight it's just you and I. And that means that I also get a chance to look and admire you with my undivided attention." Niall sighed happily. "My gosh. You are so beautiful! I love you babe!"
Bella came over to Niall and wrapped her arms around his neck and looked deep into his eyes. For the moment she forgot all about her problems.
"I love you to Niall. And no matter what, I'm never going to leave you! I don't care what happens, we're never going to be separated from each other."
Niall moved in closer, pulled her against him and kissed her. "Shall we go, my love?" Niall asked.
"Yes, of course!"
Niall surprised Bella by taking her one of the most exclusive restaurants in the country. It was the "La Magnificent De Lance." A French dinner club. It was known for four things. One, you have to wait months for a reservation. Two, the food is amazing. Three, the dancing is outstanding. And four, it's perfect Romantic setting. The happy couple sat down to a romantic candle light dinner with champagne and the whole works. Niall even had them say in the corner, so as not to be seen.
Half way through their date, Bella's phone beeped.
"Babe, can't you ignore it just this once?" Niall pleaded.
"For you, I'll do anything my love. The phone is getting turned off." Bella said tuning the phone to off mode. "There!" Bella glanced down to her half eaten piece of chocolate cake and back to Niall. "Hun, can I ask you something?"
"Anything Bella." Niall said taking her hand.
"Why did you date me in the first place?" She asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I'm not very pretty, I'm not very thin, the only thing that's nice about me is my voice."
Niall looked confused, sitting there across the table. It was the first time she had ever said anything like this before. "Bella, you are very beautiful, no matter what anyone says. I fell in love you, Bella. I don't care what you look like. You are beautiful to me. I don't care if you skinny or fat, because that would be so shallow of me to love you for your body. I fell in love with you because your sweet and kindhearted, your funny, smart, talented, and your the kindest, most selfless person I have ever known. You would do anything for anyone, no matter what it was. If anyone needs help, they turn to you. Because, Bella, you are always willing to help. Bella, you would go to the moon and back to help one of your friends, if that is what needed to be done. I fell in love with you because, I knew that I would never be happy with anyone else as long as you walked the earth."
"Niall, I love you. But I know," she added with a laugh, " that you totally got that from Downton Abbey. Who said it? Tom Branson?"
"What can I say? Didn't you know we are related?" Niall said half serious, half jokingly. "But everyone knows, all Irish men look alike." He added.
"Well I don't think so, you are my one of a kind Niall James Horan."
"You know when you say things like that it turns me on!" Niall said with a large grin.
"Now Niall, we have held off for this long. I think we can wait another three weeks until we are married."
"I know, I don't mind waiting, I really don't babe. And that's another reason why I love you. You want to de things right."
"Shall we go?" Bella asked.
"Yes, of course! Why don't we walk around outside?"
"That sounds wonderful!"
Bella and Niall walked around the shops in formal attire. It was quite silly really, but as soon as people recognized them, they didn't get so many funny looks. Bella thought to herself that this was the first time she and Niall had been able to spend some time together without everyone crowding around them, vying for pictures and autographs. Deep in her heart this was something she had wanted for a long time. They both had always treasured the time they had alone, they never had much of it anyway.
Niall, drove Bella and walked her to the door. After having a long Goodnight kiss. Bella went inside only to find a note sitting on the entryway table. She picked it and read it.
"Why didn't you answer my texts or my calls? Meet me at the coffee shop where you used to work. We need to talk. David,"
