The week stumbled along slowly, and finally Friday was here. I had cleaned the house completely, and made it look super nice for when Renee would arrive.
I also had gone to the store and bought plenty of snacks, both healthy and unhealthy, since I wasn't sure what she would like.
I had also set up Netflix on the flatscreen in the living room. I had put on a cute tie dyed shirt paired with leggings and had on my clear live lokai bracelet.
Laying down finally in my bed, I scratched my dog Ollie behind the ears. I glanced at the time on my phone. Only 6:30 pm. Renee told me she'd come around 8, since she had cheer practice.
I was finally dozing off for a quick cat nap when I heard a shriek from outside my window. I shot up, since it scared me, and Ollie was whining at my door, scratching it, wanting to get out.
I opened it for him, then peered through the gauzy curtains in my room.
There was haley and Kelsey chasing each other around her yard with water guns. Todd was spraying them with the water hose, laughing his head off.
I rolled my eyes, since we had the exact same memory from last summer, and we had chased each other while Todd had total control of the hose.
I shut the curtains, and looked at the clock. 7:45 already! Renee would be here soon. Yeesh, how long did I stare at Kelsey with angry eyes? I chuckled to myself, knowing even if I had the chance, I wouldn't want to be with her again after her cheating.
I walked lazily downstairs and sighed. I turned on Greys Anatomy on Netflix. I was so entranced with the episode, I didn't notice the time. I looked up, and the time said 9:37.
What?! Did- did Renee stand me up? No way. I began to tear up when I heard a loud knock on the door. I walked over and it was Renee!
"I'm so sorry I was late! Practice ran long, then I had to go home and pack. But guess what? I'm staying all weekend! If that's all right of course?" She asked with a sparkle in her eyes.
I nodded happily and led her up to my room to set her stuff down.
We then made our way to the kitchen.
"You must be starving. Don't worry, I've got tons of stuff to choose from. Just help your self. I'll be right back." I said gleefully.
She smiled and opened the fridge.
