I sat by myself at the campus sushi bar, popping a piece of sushi into my mouth with the Japanese chopsticks
"Sorry, is anyone sitting here?" A girl asked me, a blush on her cheeks
"No, not at all" I smiled "you're welcome to join me if you'd like"
"Oh, thank you" she smiled, placing her sushi box onto the table as she sat down
"I like your rings" I said honestly
"Oh, thank you" she beamed "it's a promise ring from my boyfriend"
"That's so cute" I smiled
"Do you have someone?"
"Me?" I asked "no, not yet. But I will"
"Who do you have in mind?"
"Nobody really" I said honestly, keeping my smile "I don't seem to catch anyone's interest"
"Oh, that's a shame" she said with a frown "you seem really nice. This might sound weird but do you know Zayn?"
"Zayn?" I frowned
"He's one of the art students here, he had a painting put up this morning of a woman in the end block"
"No I don't know Zayn, but I've seen his painting" I smiled "why do you ask?"
She pointed beside me, and I turned, my eyes finding a very handsome man with thick stubble and blazing hazel eyes
I offered a polite smile, but his expression remained neutral. My heart thumped as I stared right back
I could feel his eyes, his gaze alone seemed to hold an unexplainable dominance to them which excited me. His lips were the perfect kind of thick, his eyebrows groomed well.
"Is that... Zayn?" I asked quietly
"yeah, he's been staring at you since I sat down" the girl said "I thought that maybe you knew him"
"No, I don't know the guy" I said quietly "but I really would like to"
I watched a small smirk rise to the corner of his lips that made my heart flutter... What an angel
