13. How I Read a Poem
How I Read a Poem
I take a poem and look gently into its soul, trying to uncover the secrets hidden within.
With no such luck,
I become more aggressive.
I’m a detective investigating someone.
Bit by bit trying to break them down.
The secrets begin to leak out.
As the investigation becomes more intense, soon a little leak becomes a waterfall.
And now that the case has closed I'm satisfied, and the secrets in which the poem once held are now mine.
