9. How to read a poem
I take a poem and chase after it across fields,
Up mountains, over rivers,
Down streams and long mountain peaks,
I'll catch it and hug it tight,
Not letting go of it.
I'll take it on a date,
Take it to dinner,
To a movie to get to know it better,
I'll let my feeling out to it,
Happy, sad, exciting or boring.
I'll tell it my secrets,
It will tell me it's secrets.
Now I'm pleased and satisfied,
My job here is done.
