In the lounge,
The dog sits.
Staring with his deep brown eyes,
Nudges me with his short snout.
Runs to the hallway,
Excitedly gets his toy,
Comes back…. Sits and waits,
For the toy to be thrown far in the air,
Sighs, Then slowly walks away.
