19. No Switching Seats
I was seriously looking forward to calculus. Then I remembered I told Meg we could switch seats.
"Hey Meg, you know how I said we could switch seats?"
"I get it. It's okay. You can stay by Ryder." I was so thankful that Meg understood me so well.
Lunch was finally over so I ran to my locker, grabbed my things, and ran to advanced calculus. I still wasn't even close to being the first one there. I hate having my locker so far away from this class.
Anyway, I sat down in my usual seat and looked at Meg. I mouthed 'thanks' to her and she smiled back.
Ryder was already sitting behind me. I happened to turn around right when he was looking at me. As soon as our eyes met, his averted. I wanted to talk to him, but what would I say? I decided to just wait for class to start. I also didn't want to be too pushy.
Mr. Theo walked up to the front of the class and announced our boring lesson. Just another boring class where all I could think about was Ryder.
