The next mourning, we talked quiet alot during breakfast since James came up with a 'clever' idea: "I think tonight is the time to explore the castle." "Don't you are in enough trouble already?" I sighed. "I'm not in trouble, Remus. I just have detention. That's all." "So you want another month of detention?" I asked him, shaking my head. "I don't care about detentions, Remus. Aren't you curious to the way these secret passages can lead you?" I sighed again. Ofcourse I'm curious, but I just think James has caused enough troubles for now. "You're not going to listen te me, are you?" "Probably not." I shook my head but listened to him. "So after dinner, I'm going to take my Cloak and take the book out of the Shrieking Shack. I've been told that nobody goes in the girl's bathroom, so then we can check the book there." Sirius started to laugh. "Are you really going to go in the girl's bathroom?" "It's the only place where we won't get caught." said James. "How do you know?" asked Peter. "They say there's a ghost in the girl's bathroom. I don't know if it's true, but at least nobody goes there." explained James. "Okay, I'm in. Anyone else?" asked Sirius; James smiled. "I'm in too." I sighed; this is probably a foolish idea, but yeah, someone has to save them when it goes wrong. "Alright, I'm in. But if we get caught, you'll be in troubles mate." I said. "Sirius, aren't you scared of ghosts?" I asked smiling. Sirius looked down. "Shut it." He whispered and his cheeks slightly turned red which made me laugh.
Our first lesson was Transfiguration. "Today, I am going to teach you how to turn rabbits into slippers." The girls giggled. "Why?" Asked James, but after a glare of professor Mcgonagall, he shut up. "All you have to do is twirl the wand above the target and say "Rabbit slippers.' Everyone, repeat." So, we did. Then, we used our wand and said it again. It was quiet hard. My rabbit actually did turn into a slipper, but still had a tail. Peter's slippers still had the ears and the tail of a rabbit. James and Sirius succeeded, which earned Gryffindor 20 points. Our next lesson was Herbology, but nothing special happened there. After lunch, we had potions and DADA*. For both lessons, we had to write an essay from 200 words, which is quiet alot. But since my friends decided to explore the castle tonight, the homework will have to wait for tomorrow.
After dinner, I took my Cloak and wrapped it around me. Luckily, I could enter the Shrieking Shack without any trouble. It took me a fiew minutes before I found the book. When I found it, I wrapped the Cloak around me again and went back to the castle. It was nightfall, almost dark. I met my friends in the girl's bathroom. As aspected, we were alone. "Okay, let's check this book. I said. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" A ghost flew fast towards us and scared us. I knew Sirius is scared of ghosts so I looked at him; his face was ashen. "Who are you?" I'm not really scared of ghosts, this one just faded me. The ghost was a girl with glasses. "I am Moaning Myrtle. But you are boys and this is the girl's bathroom so you don't belong here!" Peter and Remus weren't scared either, but Sirius stood transfixed. "Just relax, mate. Everything is fine." I whispered in his ear so only he could hear it. "Just 5 minutes, then we will leave." I said. Moaning Myrtle flew away and started moaning. "Let's see. So clearly, there are 7 passages. It might be wise to discover just one tonight. The Room of Requirement... I have no idea what it is, but there is only one way to find out, isn't it?" I decided and we left the girl's bathroom. Remus decided to memorise the way so we can make a map or something. We hide under the Cloak and went to the Room of Requirement. "It should be here, according this book." I said. "I don't see anything." noticed Sirius. Unfortunately, that was true; we were standing infront of a wall. "But it has to be here!" "Are you sure?" asked Remus. "Ofcourse I am!" "Take a look in the book. Perhaps you've missed something." advised Remus. And then I saw a small tekst:
'The Room of Requirement is a room that a person can only enter when they have real need of it. Sometimes it is there, and sometimes it is not. But when it appears, it is alway equipped for the seeker's need.'
"Is that room here?" asked Peter. "Maybe. But I don't think so we will be able to find it." answered Remus. "Are you kidding me?" I said. "I'm sorry, James. Let's not waste our time here. The best thing we can do now is hide that book again and go to bed." So we did.
