24. The new librarian
"Do you still have that book?" I asked James. It was finally Saturday. "Yeah, why?" He replied; chewing on his toast with jam. "Well, now we have the Map, you don't need it anymore." I said lifting my shoulders. "Mmm, that's actually true, Moony." "I'm always right." I smiled and the boys laughed. "You wish, Moony." "Yeah, I do, Padfoot." I replied laughing. It was a pretty warm day so everyone was outside. Which means the coast was clear to take James' Cloak and to go to the Restricted Section. There was no one in the library. Even the librarian, Isra Pince, seemed to be gone. When we walked back, someone stood infront of us. It wasn't Isra Pince, it was a man. A man with dark hair and dark eyes. His small glasses made him look ridiculous. Yet, you could see this man can't be fooled easily. Suddenly, his arms transfromed in something slimy - like an octopus. Peter screamed so we had to run as fast as we could. On the fifth floor, we were completely out of breath. "We have to go to professor Dumbledore!" said Sirius. "Oh yeah, that's a good idea. 'Hey, professor. Did you know there is a monster in the library?' You really think he's going to take us serious?" I replied. "Maybe he won't believe me, but he'll definetly believe you." replied James. "In Merlin's name, why would professor Dumbledore believe me?" "What would I believe?" Said professor Dumbledore; standing right behind us. "Nothing... We..." Sirius said too quick. "Don't you have some studying to do?" He asked like nothing happened. "Yeah, yeah..." We awkwardly replied and went back to the library. We only have 2 weeks till the exams. "That was bloody weird." Said Sirius while we were studying Potions. "Yeah..." I replied, not really focussing on the conversation. For the practical exam of Potions, we have to make every Potion we've learned this year on time. That is so difficult! That is why the teachers have opened an extra classroom so we can practice. After we studied the theory, we went to the extra calssroom on the sixth floor. "I should've chosen a bird." James suddenly said. We stared at him. "As animagious form ofcourse! Then I could just fly instead of taking all these stairs." He explained and we chuckled. "Yeah, sure, cuz everyone knows we're animagious..." "Shut up, Padfoot."
Such a shame the Quidditch Season is over. At least then we have some distraction from the exams. Now it's just studying, eating, studying, sleeping and a bit more stuyding. After lunch, we went outside for a small break of half an hour. It's nice to be able to sit in the sun, no sweater and the tie untighten. James threw a fiew stones in the lake. He's bored. "I want to play Quidditch..." whined James. "We can't, Prongs." "I know we can't play it, Padfoot. That's what annoys me the most." "Why?" asked Moony. "You know I usually never stick to the rules. "Yeah, that's true." We replied in choir. After the break, we studied Charms. The spell were pretty easy actually. We decided not to study after dinner. We played chess and went to bed.
