17. Sirius' broken heart
"Mister Snape, can you tell us what happened?" asked professor Mcgonagall. He told us how Rose put the potion in my drink and how he found it out. I still can't believe Rose did that. I mean, I thought she loved me. And I liked her. A fiew tears escaped out of my eyes but I dried them quickly in the hope nodboy saw me. "So Sirius behaved like that because of that love potion? He didn't realise it?" asked Hamblin. "Why? What did I do?" I asked curious. "You didn't listen to me at all. So you're lucky it's because of that love potion, otherwise I would have punished you." smirked Hamblin. "Who won the match?" asked James. "No one, mister Potter. Since miss Jordan cheated, she's kicked out of the Team so Ravenclaw needs a new seeker. Until then the Match is delayed." replied professor Mcgonagall. Everybody left the Hospital Wing. An hour later, James and I could leave as well. "Are you okay, mate?" asked James; I nodded. "No, you're not." He said and he hugged me. In the common room, we sat down in the soft arm chairs and talked about what happened. I sighed. "I just feel so stupid..." I said. "Why?" asked James. "Because I thought she actually liked me." I answered shy. "She made you feel that way. It's not your fault. I mean, Remus, Peter and I also thought she liked you. We kind of put you into this. I'm sorry, lad." "Nah, don't worry about it. I'll get over it." I gave James a weak smile. I'm glad he is my best friend. "Let's play some chess." suggested James. "Why? Do you want to lose so badly?" I smirked. "You wish." chuchkled James. We played 3 games. I won 2 of them. "I told you I was going to win, Prongs." "Shut up, Padfoot." He said as we went to the Great Hall to eat dinner. Remus and Peter were already sitting at the table. "Are you okay?" asked Remus. "Yeah, everything is fine." I replied. After dinner, James and I had Quidditch practice. Peter watched the practice while Remus read a book in the library. The practice was really exhausting. Hamblin let us do 30 push-ups and lots of other exercises. I was totally exhausted so I really enjoyed the warm shower. James and I didn't say a word on our way to the common room so I knew James was as tired as I was. "Hey Sirius, do you want to play Exploding Snap?" asked Peter. "No, sorry man. I'm going to bed. I'm exhausted. Good night." I said and went to the dorms. I let myself fall in the soft bed. I fell asleep before I could change into my pyjamas.
After breakfast, our first lesson was Potions. Slytherin joined us. I sat next to Sirius while Remus sat next to Peter. "Pssht... Pssht... Black!" Whispered Malfoy behind us. Sirius and I turned our heads. "What's the matter, Malfoy?" I replied harsly. "Oh, I'm fine, Potter. Don't worry about me. I should worry more about your friend. Black has a broken heart, you see." smirked Malfoy. He and his friends pretended to cry. I stepped towards Malfoy and I punched him in his face. "No fighting, mister Potter. You know the rules. That will be detention for a month." I sighed and sat down on my seat again. "It's worth it." I winked at Sirius and he smiled.
