19. Ravenclaw's new seeker
The next day, our first lesson was Herbology. On our way to the greenhouses, Bellatrix and her friends walked towards us. "Well well well, Sirius Black." "Bellatrix." I simply replied. Usually, she acts like I don't exist, even though we're family. I like it that way. "You've been a bad boy, Black. What would mommie say of that? Oh yes, that's right. She doesn't like you. Why would that be?" teased Bellatrix. "Shut up." "Oh, no no no. You told your little friends about our... relationship. Even though you know we had an appointment. I'm afraid you will... miss your classes..." she said dramatic. Bellatrix raised her wand, yet James was faster. "Flipendo!" he yelled. Bellatrix blasted away and fell. Her friends ran away. They clearly don't like duelling. Bellatrix stood on her feet again. "Glacius!" Bellatrix casted the spell on Peter; he froze immediately. Bellatrix smirked. 'Is that everything you can?" she laughed evil. "Levicorpus!" yelled Remus. A green light came out of his wand and hit Bellatrix. She is hoisted into the air by her ankle. She fell hard with her head on the ground. Yet, Bellatrix had clearly enough of it and ran away. Remus thawed Peter and we went to the library. We missed a big part of Herbology so we might as well do some homework.
Half an hour later, the other Gryffindor's joined us. Arthur Weasley sat down next to me. "Where have you been?" he asked me. "We were retained." I couldn't tell him, it would make the situation between Sirius and Bellatrix only worse. "Don't worry, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Arthur said and he meant it. "What happened to your hand?" Asked James; Arthur's hand was full of scratches. "A bowtruckle. Very long, sharp fingers. My bowtruckle wasn't very friendly." Answered Arthur and he sighed. After our homework, we played Exploding Snap. Arthur played as well. Our next lesson was Charms. "Does anyone know what a Memory Charm is?" Asked professor Flittwick; I raised my hand. "Yes, mister Lupin?" "A Memory Charm is a spell that can be used to erase memories from an individual's mind." I answered. "That's correct, mister Lupin. Ten points for Gryffindor. Memory Charms are generally intended to erase a specific memory. They are regularly used if a Muggle witnesses something related to the wizarding world; the Ministry of Magic has Oblivators to remove their memories of the event, such as if a Muggle sees a dragon. I want you to write an essay about the Memory Charm, at least 250 words. You can hand it in next week, then we will practice it." Professor Flittwick said and we left.
During lunch, Nearly Headless Nick 'sat' down next to me. Why next to me? "Did you know Ravenclaw has got a new seeker?" he said. "Oh really, who is it?" asked James curious. "Miss Philips. Jane Philips. Mister Morrison (Gryffindor's seeker) should be careful. She is pretty good." "Very interesting..." mumbled James. "Thank you for the informations, sir Nicholas." Said James and Nearly Headless Nick flew away. After lunch we had 2 boring classes: History of Magic and Defence Against the Dark Arts. James and I slept during both classes. After dinner, we layed down outside under a tree. A group of Ravenclaw's were packed together. "Is that a broomstick?" asked Peter. "You should know by now what a broomstick looks like, Wormtail." said Mooney; Prongs and I chuckled. The girl on the broomstick landed infront of us. "Aren't you supposed to be training?" she asked. "Not today. And you are?" asked James. "Jane Philips, Ravenclaw's new seeker. You must be James Potter and you are... Sirius Black?" asked Jane; we nodded. "I'm really looking forward to the match." she said. "Yeah, me too. May the best win." I said smiling. Jane stepped on her broomstick and flew to her group of friends.
