The time passes by too fast: the exams are coming soon. I always wake up earlier than my friends so I can take a nice warm shower. I decided to read a book in the common room - in one of the soft arm chairs - since I still had to wait for James, Sirius and Peter. A quarter later, we went to the Great Hall: it is snowing! "Oh no, our first lesson is DADA..." said James disapointed. "I suggest you pay attention for once, James. It are almost exams." I said. "Oh really? When?" asked Sirius. I thought he was joking, but apparently, he wasnt. "Over 2 weeks. So you guys, are not going to hang around when you are free. Instead, you'll do something useful and study in the library." "Yes, mom." "James, I mean it. You really have to start studying." "Yes, Remus, I will. And you have to stop worrying." "Whatever." I ended the conversation. We went to the DADA - classroom. Slytherin joined us. Then, the lesson started. "The imp is a magical creature found only in Britain and Ireland." The professor said: the picture of the imp was shown on a whie screen. "Imps make their home in marshland, where they indulge their slapstick sense of humour by pushing and tripping the unwary." "Pssh... Pssh... Snevilly! Is that your brother?" Whispered Sirius to Severus. I shook my head. "Mister Black! That is 10 points from Gryffindor. One more word and you'll have detention." "But..." "That will be detention then, isn't it?" James started to laugh, which wasn't really smart. "So, you think this is funny, mister Potter. Well, then you can join your friend friday." "But professor, it's quiddtich match friday..." protested James. "Then you shoud've been smart and payed attention instead of laughing." Luckily, James realised he wasn't going to win this conversation. Since James and Sirius were really pissed off, they decided to skip potions.
"If we hurry, friday, we still can be on time for the match." I said. "So?" "Well, I just thought..." "Shut up, Sirius." "Sorry..." We were walking to he common room. James took his Cloak. "What are you going to do?" "Discovering the castle ofcourse. And you come with me." ordered James. He wrapped the Cloak around us. Like our first discover around the castle, we're first going to the Shrieking Shack. This time, we're going to take a look there in the book. But in the corridor on the first floor, Peeves was throwing chairs from the classroom on the corridor. Peeves is a poltergeist. He is really intractable. Not even Dumbledore can controle him. Only the Bloody Baron can. The Bloody Baron is the ghost of Slytherin. "What now?" I asked James; whispering. "We wait. He must get tired of it once." Luckily, James was right. Looking at the amount of charis, Peeves was doing this already quiete a long time. Five minutes later, he stopped and flew away. It was a really difficult task to climb over the chairs without making any noise. To make it a little bit easier, we took off the Cloak. A quarter later, we reached the Shrieking Shack. James opened the book. "Mmm... There is a passage that leads to Honeydukes... Sounds interesting. Sirius, will you memorise the word 'dissendium'?" "Why?" you'll see." We went to the stairs to the DADA - classroom. There is a one - eyed witch statue. "What was the word again?" asked James. "Dissendium." James repeated the word while tapping the hump. The statue went open. There was a really small opening; so we stepped in it one by one. After a while, we arrived in the cellar of Honeydukes. "We better go back, it's almost lunch tme. We can show Remus and Peter at night." I said; James nodded. We went back to the common room and after James hit his Cloak, we went to the Great Hall. "Let me guess; you didn't study, did you?" asked Remus; James and I rolled our eyes. "No, but we did discover another passage you can draw on the map." James said smiling. "Oh really?" "Yes, perhaps we can show you tonight?" James asked him. "Alright... Peter, are you coming as well?" asked Remus. "No, thanks. I want to sleep." After lunch, we had 2 free periods so we went to the library to study. We decided to study potions first. Luckily, Remus explained what James and I have missed during the lesson. Two hours later, we studied Herbology. My stomach started to grumble so I knew it was time for dinner. "C'mon, let's go to the Great Hall." Peter said; we were all hungry. After dinner, we played chess, talked and went to bed. Nothing special happened during the rest of the week, except friday: James and I had detention. Professor Mcgonagall told us to go to Hagrid's hut.
Sirius and I first went to the common room to dress us really warm. It was still snowing outside; we had a beautiful landscape. We had to walk a quarter before we reached Hagrid's hut. We were pretty cold. Hagrid opened the door and we entered the hut greatful. The hut had only one room, but it was ncie warm since Hagrid made a fire. "Hello boys. I am Hagrid. Ye must be James, and ye must be Sirius, am I right?" Sirius and I nodded. Tonight, I have to chop up trees and ye're going to help me." Hagrid gave us an axe. "But Hagrid, that will take hours! Wat about the match?" I exclaimed. "Don't ye worry 'bout that! Mcgonagall put it off. Now c'mon! And stay close to me, we're going in the dark forest!" It's getting dark outside. We walked a fiew minutes before Hagrid found some good trees to chop off. It's quite heavy work, especially because it's so cold outside. "Hagrid, why don't you just use magic? That's way faster!" Said Sirius half an hour later. "I... euhm... well. Otherwise it wouldn't be a punishment anymore, would it?" Sirius and I looked at eachother. Why did he act so strange?" "Hagrid..." "What did ye get punished for?" Hagrid quickly changed the subject. "Nothing... Talking during the lesson." I said. "I've heard ye get into misschief alot." Sirius and I smiled. We worked further in silence. An hour later, Sirius and I could finally go to the castle. We drunk a hot chocolat and after it, we went to bed.
