After Rob drove home they agreed to meet later that afternoon.

“Nice to meet you Miss Moreau I’m sure we will be seeing a lot more of you.’

“I’m sure you will; Au revoir.’

Jim slid over to the driver’s side then asked where Selene would like to go for lunch.

“There’s a nice little French bistro not far from here called the “Café Rouge.’

Selene directed him and they drove around until they found a parking spot then went inside. The red leather upholstered seating and the semi circular room that looked out onto the city looked welcoming enough.

Bonjour, nous pouvon’s voir u menu?’

The waiter handed them a menu.’

“Aimeriez vous prendre un verre Selene?

“Your French is excellent James.’ “White wine would be nice.’

“Pourrions –nous avoir une boutelle de vin blanc – s’il vous plai’t.’

“Bien sur Monsieur.’

They looked through the menu then agreed on the same.

The waiter came over and asked if they were ready to order.

Pourrions –nous avoir deux Caesar salade pour commencer et entrée; poulet aux port s’il vous plai’t.

“Merci Monsieur.’

“The wine was excellent as Selene tasted it; they she asked him why he was going in search of wrecks that had not been discovered in over four hundred years.

“Because, I believe I can find them.’

“There was an exploration done a few years ago by an American called Chuck Henderson; he gave up after over a year of trying because of the outbreak of the Second World War but swore to return once the war was over.’ The authorities would not sanction a diving team after the war because of the danger of mines so Chuck was forced to abandon his quest.

“Yes, I read about that somewhere.’

“He spent over two million dollars trying to find the treasure and failed.’

“Well he was just looking in the wrong place wasn’t he?’

“You’re pretty confident for a man who has no idea where the wrecks are?’

“I believe that they could be more than three hundred and fifty miles away from where they first went down.’

“As far as that?’

“Why not the tides are very strong there and there is no reason why they could have moved that far over time.’

“Well I hope that you are right said Selene as the waiter brought the Caesar salads over with prawns.

They poured the dressing over the salad and began to eat.’

“The IUS is only giving you four hundred thousand where will you find the rest from?’

“Durham University is giving us a hundred grand so. That will be a good start.’

We have acquired equipment fairly cheaply from friends and the British Underwater Institute who I work for; has loaded us a diving barge and compressor for as long as we need it.’

“Rob has a light aircraft that he is going to fly us out on and do some recon

at the same time.’

“What will he be able to see from the air; surely it is easier to locate the wrecks under water?’
