Gone With the Wind

Thirteen year-old Emma must move to a tiny beach town to live with her older sister, after the death of her best friend whom she was staying with before.

1. The Yearbook

I must have read the autographs 100 times. "Have a nice summer Emma!" "Stay Cool. See you in September!", and many others. I ran my hand over Katie's last know existence; "I love being your friend Emma. Have an amazing summer, and see you in the fall, though, I'll expect we'll get together before then! :-)" The ink smeared.

You're such an idiot Emma! I thought to myself. How could l ruin what was the last existence from my friend since kindergarten. I don't know. I don't know how I could be such an idiot.
