2. Chapter Two
Xavier's Point of View
I think my favorite part of the day is driving across this bridge. I feel so at peace with the world, like all my worries just disappear. I owe Victoria everything, she helped me get to this private college called Redwood Academy and since her father's the dean, I get a free ride. The only problem is she still believes this is freshman year and we still go out. I'm glad we could still be friends though.
As soon as I walked into the building I heard someone call my name. "Xavier!"
It was Ben. He's always so clueless, I guess yelling at the top of his lungs down a college hallway is nothing to him. I could barely make out his lofty brown locks, since Logan's muscular build was covering him. It was always hilarious to see the two of them together, their the oddest of friends. Logan brushed his hair with a pick as we walked to class. When we got to homeroom, many sighs erupted from the room. But I paid no mind to them, and let out a soft grunt and walked to my seat.
'As Always' I muttered under my breath.
Logan, Ben and I took our seats in homeroom. Ben and Logan sat at a table in front of me and I by myself, all the way in the back. Our Screenplay Theatrics teacher was so drunk most of the time, she could barely form a sentence. As the bell rang out signally the start of first period, Ms. Turner still sat at her desk with her head in her hands.
"Aye look, I think Ms. Turner got a massive hangover again." Ben said laughing
"She can't even hold her fucking head up!" After I said that the whole class burst into laughter.
"Aye, did you pull off that job interview."
I turned to Ben. "Yea, and the director is fucking gorgeous."
"We can take turns right, sharing is caring." He said grinning
Xavier punched his shoulder they both started laughing; when heels clicked the floor they both looked up to see Victoria and her minion Tori.
Victoria's scandalous skirt rode high on her slender thighs. The red material stretched over her skin as if it was molded to her legs. Tori's outfit of course had to be the matching set, in pink. Victoria stepped in front of Xavier and his friends.
"Hey boys, wanna get out of class." Tori smiled
"We were about to bounce but we could take a detour." Ben grinned
Logan and Xavier looked at him dumbfounded. Everyone knows Victoria's had some type of fling with every senior boy in this college, and theirs no one dumb enough to touch her again. She might have some fucking disease by now.
"That can be arranged....but I only have eyes for Xavier." Victoria said poking him in the chest making him cringe inside.
Xavier let a small smirk play across his lips as the late bell rang. "Well as nice as that offer might be."
He pulled away "I think I'll lay low for a while."
Logan smirked. "By that you mean, stop jumping in them sweet walls."
"Shut the hell up! I'll still get more girls than you."
"Oohhh!!" The entire class echoed
Druid’s Point of View
I was browsing through the hundreds of profiles on my desk trying to find the right set of people to cast for my upcoming show.
My team of assistants were sitting on either side of the hardwood table looked tired. It was only 3 o'clock and all eyelids were low.
"Boss, you look like you need a coffee break." Carter said slouching over the work
"It looks like we all need a coffee break." I replied
"I'll go out and get some." Peter said grabbing his jacket off the chair
"No, you guys just go home early." I said leaning into my chair.
They all piled out of the room, saying their goodbyes. Rita walked up to the glass door, and knocked. "Boss, want me to bring the car around?"
"Could you, Rita? I need to pack up these profiles I want this mess done by noon tomorrow." I said
"Of course, I'll be out front." Rita obliged
I gathered the cast screening profiles from today and put them in a box , then slid my 4 inch heels back on, walking to the door.
"The keys are on the dashboard, boss." Rita called from the parking garage
"You be safe driving home now."
Xavier's Point of View
I was on my way to pick up my siblings from Daycare, when the October chill hit the air. 'Maybe I should pick up some hot chocolate while I'm out.' I thought as I turned into the Starbucks parking lot.
The aroma of fresh coffee beans and froth wafted to my nose. It was like a raw drug that was always dark and sweet. The door chimed and the cashier at the register welcomed me in and took my order of 2 hot chocolates with extra whipped cream. Kit can get a little of Mulan's, hes only a baby. I grabbed the tray and turned to head out, when I heard a familiar voice echo through the Dunkin' Donuts.
"He was the best cast yet, and to top it off he's fine as hell, dont you just love Italians .......Yea, okay bye."
Druid was sitting in a booth in the front. She was shaking her head and looking at different profiles. I headed in her direction and sat across from her.
"So you think I'm sexy." I stated taking a sip of my hot chocolate
