"I can't tell you!" Lexi yelled at Calum.
"Why not!?" Calum said looking at the little girl in the doorway.
"He'll do it again and worse if I tell!" Lexi said.
"You'll never see him again," Calum said looking into her big, blue eyes.
"Yes I will, when you send me back, I'll go back."
"Who said you'll go back?"
"No one wants me."
"Who told you that?"
"Most of my foster brothers and sisters. Everybody really." Calum hugged her.
"Somebody wants you." She hugged him back, he picked her up and carried her into the kitchen. He sat her on the counter top. "Do you want something to eat?" She shook her head no. "Are you sure, you haven't ate a lot?" She shook her head again.
Ashton walked downstairs, Lexi ran into the living room when he did. She ran to Michael and sat in his lap. She hide her face in his chest.
"Lexi, what are you doing?" Michael asked her.
"Where did Lexi go?" Calum asked walking into the living room.
"Right here," Michael said.
"Lexi?" Ashton said.
"I-I'm sorry," Lexi said.
"For what?" Ashton asked her.
"Hey, don't be sorry." He picked her up and stood in the middle of the living room with her in his arms. "I'm the one that should be sorry." They stood like that for about 5 minutes. Lexi was asleep when Ashton put her down. He walked into the kitchen to the boys.
"Is she asleep?" Michael asked him.
"Yeah," Ashton said getting something to drink.
"Don't we have an interview or something like that today?" Luke asked.
"I think it's tomorrow," Ashton said sitting at the table.
"It's tomorrow and it's an interview," Michael said, not even looking up from his phone. He was too busy looking at Twitter.
"Damn, Mikey you should be our manager," Ashton joked.
"I have to be in the band, and plus that's way to boring." He still didn't look up from his phone.
"Ashton," A little girl whispered coming into the kitchen.
"What is it love?" Ashton asked her as everybody looked at her.
"I-I don't feel good," she said climbing in his lap. She let out a little cough and cuddled up to his chest.
"I'm sorry love. Here, let's get you some medicine. Mikey, go get it." Michael looked up from his phone and gave Ashton a look.
"But-" Ashton raised an eyebrow. Michael quickly got up and got the medicine. She took the medicine and cuddled back up to Ashton's chest. "Do you want to go lay down on the couch?" She nodded and Ashton carried Lexi to the couch.
She started gagging a little bit. Knowing she was going to throw up, Luke quickly went and got a little garbage can. She did throw up, with Ashton holding her hair back. Luke took the garbage can out of the room when he thought she was finished, but she wasn't.
She got sick on Ash's t-shirt. "I-I'm sorry," she said, on the verge of crying. He stood up and took his shirt off.
"It's fine love," he said kissing her forehead. "Luke I'm going to go take a shower, wipe her mouth off and if she gets sick again come get me," he ordered. Luke nodded and sat beside of Lexi, pulling her on his lap. Ashton sprinted up the stairs, not wanting to get sick. He wiped her mouth with a damp washcloth.
"Are you okay love?" He asked her, rubbing circles on her back. She nodded cuddling into his chest.
"Do you want to watch tv?" Calum asked her, standing in the middle of the living room in front of the tv. She nodded. Calum turned the tv on and put it on Disney. She fell asleep again.
The boys went into the kitchen so they didn't wake up Lexi. Ashton walked downstairs a few minutes later with his hair still wet, he had a white tank top and grey sweats.
"What are we going to do when we have to send her back?" Michael asked, knowing she was getting attached to Ashton.
"What do you mean?" Luke asked.
"I mean we can't adopt her. She's getting attached to Ashton."
"She is not," Ashton said.
"She kinda is," Calum said.
"Ashton, she specifically came in here to you and she cuddled up to you," Michael said.
"She could've came to any of us but she went to you," Michael said.
"She- all right I see your guys' point."
"Dude, the more you let that little girl do stuff like that, the more her heart is going to break. I know how she's lived in the past and you're the only foster father she has ever had and trusted," Michael said. Ashton smiled at that. "Ashton nobody can keep that girl over 6 months, she's too much of a handful. Don't let her get attached."
"What am I supposed to do then?" Ashton asked, his smile going down at the facts Mikey told him.
"If I was you, I wouldn't let her get too attached," Michael said getting up and going to his room. Ashton went up to his room and took a nap.
Lexi woke up a little bit after that. She went to Ashton's room but, when she saw he was asleep, she went to Luke's room. She didn't want to wake up Ashton. Luke's room was the closest to Ashton's.
"Luke?" Lexi whispered outside his door.
"Yeah," he said from the other side.
"Lexi? Come on in." She slowly opened the door. He was sitting at his desk on his laptop. "What's up?"
"I-I went to Ashton's room but he was sleeping."
"Well, you can sit in here with me?" She nodded and sat on his bed. "Do you want to play my iPad?" She nodded and Luke handed her his iPad and she played the games on it. "Do you have a phone or something like that?" She shook her head. "Never?"
"Nope," she said. "Well my brother had a phone. It took him like 3 years to save up for it though."
"Oh, you have siblings?"
"Yeah, 2 brothers. I haven't seen them in awhile though."
"What's their names?"
"Chris and Justin. Chris is 15 and me and Justin are twins."
"You're a twin?"
"Yeah, I'm not allowed to see them though."
"We're in different foster homes."
Luke stopped what he was doing and looked at Lexi. "I'm sorry." Ashton walked in.
"There you are, feeling better?" He asked her, walking towards her. She nodded and played on Luke's iPad. "Let's get something to eat, I'm pretty sure you lost almost everything you've ate earlier."
She followed Ashton downstairs. He fixed her something to eat. She just played with it. "Aren't you going to eat?" She shook her head and pushed it away. "Lexi, you need to eat."
"I'm not hungry."
"You've only ate 3 times since you've been here."
"I don't want to eat."
"Calum!" Ashton yelled. Calum came downstairs.
"She won't eat."
"Lexi love, will you please eat," he said looking at her. She shook her head 'no'. "Why not?"
"I'm not hungry."
"You haven't ate anything."
"I don't want anything."
"Eat, please," Calum practicality begged. She took a little bite and put her fork down. "Aren't you going to eat anymore?" She shook her head 'no' and went upstairs.
"Dude, she has to eat," Ashton said.
"I know. Why isn't she eating anything?" Calum asked.
"I don't know. Do you think it has anything to do with her past?" Ashton asked.
"Probably, she's probably scared to. Either that or because she's sick."
