Ron made himself scarce and had himself a nice shower and a clean shave. He returned sally had ironed him a denim shirt took the cowboy boots out of the bag ready for him to wear; when he put then on he felt much taller. He turned around in them then asked for sally’s opinion.’
Here try this for size; sally passed him a black cowboy hat he pushed his shoulder length hair back then placed the hat on his head.
“Not bad for a city boy.’
Now no one is going to recognise you in that get up.’
“Good; I don’t want to be recognised.’
Sally served him breakfast which went down a treat.’
“I thought we could drive down Harrisburg.’
“Sounds exciting what’s there?’
“Well I will show you around after breakfast. Sally poured him more coffee and refilled her own cup.
“What about the farm?’
“Dad has hired hands to help him he wont miss me much.’
Does Vance help out on the farm as well?’
“Yes he graduates soon so he will be going off to university.’
“Did you go to university Ronnie?’
“Me hell no; I left school at fifteen then joined the Navy after doing a year of labouring jobs.’
Did you go Sally?’
“Yes, I went to Pittsburgh and studied agriculture so I could help daddy on the farm.’
“So you like farming then?’
“Very much so; I hope to take over daddy’s farm when he becomes too old to do it.’
“What about Vance?’
“He has no interest in farming; he wants’ to be a pilot in the air force.’
They washed the plates up in the sink then dried them together. Sally reached up put the coffee cups away and Ron leant in and kissed sally softly on the lips. She closed her eyes then put her arms around his neck and they kissed again. This time it was more passionate and it had Sally gasping.
“Wow, I think we had better go don’t you.’
“Should we take my car asked Ron?’
“No, it will be less conspicuous if we take the pick up. We can call in at Macy’s petrol station and get some gas.’
Do you need money asked Ron taking out his wallet?’
“Were fine you have some change from your shopping anyway.’
Just use it to fill up the truck then.
“What $200 dollars.’
“Well I will buy us lunch later then.’
“That’s real nice of you; I know this great place in Pittsburgh which serves the best seafood that you ever tasted.’
“You do like seafood don’t you?’
“I was born in a fishing town remember.’
Oh yes I forgot.’
They drove down a dirt track then onto the main road which took them to Hershey.
