As soon as I told Grace that Michael was coming she asked if I knew if Ashton was coming too.
"I don't know. He didn't say, but I'm guessing probably not." I answered sitting on the sink counter again. Grace rolled her eyes before sitting down next to me.
"Hey Sophie?" Grace asked.
"Do you think the others are confused as to why we've been gone for so long?" She asked smiling.
"Probably." I laughed. "They're probably really confused right now." We both laughed.
We sat there in silence for a few seconds before I jumped off the sink and started walking towards the door.
"Sophie where are you going?" Grace asked from behind, following me.
"Well Michael's going to be here soon and we're in the girl's bathroom. Michael's obviously a boy so he can't come in here meaning we should probably wait for him in the lobby or something." I said, still walking.
Grace and I walked out of the bathroom and into the hallway. The bathroom that we were in wasn't in the lobby, instead it was in the hallway that you go down to get to the theater that the movie that you're watching is in.
"Okay. So we're waiting for him in the lobby?" Grace asked moving to walk beside me instead of behind.
"Yeah. It's either that or outside and while I do enjoy being outside, I don't want to be out there at 10:00 at night when I'm pretty sure that I'm being followed by a creep." I said and Grace nodded her head in agreement.
We were walking to the lobby when I felt someone grab my wrist turning me around to face them. I looked up and saw it was Travis. I yanked my wrist out of his grasp and went to walk away with Grace when he started following me and saying my name. I decided that maybe if I just listened to what he has to say maybe he'll just go away, so I turned around and glared at him.
"What do you want?" I asked him angrily.
"Nothing. I just wanted to let you know that I can always find you. That's why I'm here." Travis said smiling creepily.
"Okay because that's not creepy at all or anything." I said starting to turn back around again.
"Look I'm not going to take you yet. I'm just showing you that you're mine." He still had that creepy smile on his face.
I turned around and walked away from him. I don't care if he said he wasn't going to do anything right now. I was walking away when I heard him shout one last thing.
"Don't forget Sophie you're mine!"
Grace and I walked into the lobby and sat down a little freaked out from what had just happened.
We were still waiting for Michael to arrive, so I looked around the lobby. At the front of the lobby were two counters where you buy your tickets and snacks and drinks if you want. Then next to that there were the places where you can put seasoning on your popcorn and napkins and straws and things like that. Then next to that were two pop machines to fill up your drinks. At the back of the lobby there were a few arcade games that some teens were playing. The lobby was pretty crowded tonight which makes sense since it's a Friday night.
"Ugh. How long has it been?" Grace complained. Patience is something that Grace doesn't have very much of.
"Um... around four minutes." I said glancing at the clock on the wall. "Grace if you want to go back to the movie you can. You don't have to wait with me." I said feeling bad that Grace was missing part of the movie because of me.
"No. Sophie it's fine. I'd rather sit here with you then have to sit in the theater and not be allowed to talk without getting yelled at by Mason." Grace smiled and I laughed a little. Mason always gets so mad when people talk during movies which is understandable.
Grace and I were talking about what we planned on doing tomorrow when we both heard rushed footsteps. I looked up, my eyes meeting worried light green ones.
Michael came over to where Grace and I sat and continued looking straight at me.
"Are you two okay?" He asked worriedly finally looking away from me.
We both nodded our heads which caused Grace to give me a weird look.
"What?" I asked looking at Grace.
"Nothing. I'm just going to let you two talk. I'll be with the others." She said before walking away although she didn't get far before Michael told her to stop.
"What?" She asked and you could hear a little bit of annoyance in her voice.
"Sophie and I will walk with you. I have no idea where Travis is and I don't want what almost happened to Sophie to happen to you too." Michael said before glancing at me.
"Okay." Grace sighed.
We started walking side by side to the room that the movie was playing in when I noticed something.
"Hey Michael?" I questioned.
"How did you get past the ticket guy. I mean I'm sure he remembers checking Grace and I's tickets when we got them but he just let you walk right past."
"Well, working at the movie theater isn't his only job. He's also in my gang and lets me come here for free." Michael smiled at me.
"Cool." I smiled back.
"Well. I'm going to let you two talk some more." Grace said walking to where the movie was playing.
After she walked away Michael turned to me.
"So I'm guessing something happened with you?" Michael asked, raising an eyebrow at me.
I nodded. "I was going to tell you. I promised you that I would tell you these kinds of things and I don't break my promises. I just wanted to tell you somewhere where there's not as many people." I said getting quieter at the end as I remembered what Travis had said to me earlier.
"Okay. We can sit outside if you want. I know how much you like being out there and I won't let anything happen to you." Michael told me.
"Okay." I agreed and we walked and sat against the side of the theater.
We sat down next to each other and Michael looked at me waiting for me to start talking.
"Okay. So Travis might have said some things to me." I said nervously.
"It's okay Sophie, you don't have to be nervous. You can tell me. I won't get mad and take it out on you" Michael said.
"Okay. Grace and I were walking to the lobby to wait for you when Travis saw us. When he saw us he told me that he wasn't going to do anything to me yet but he wanted to prove to me that he'll always be able to find me. Then he told me not to forget that I'm his." I said, still afraid from what had happened. I looked up at Michael since he's taller than me and saw that his jaw was now clenched and he looked a little tense.
"Michael? Are you okay?" I asked worried.
He looked at me and nodded his head. "Yeah. I'm pretty pissed right now, but I want you to know he's not going to do anything to you. I'm not letting that happen." Michael said sternly.
"I know. Thank you Michael." I smiled at him and he smiled back a little at me.
"I'm going to walk you back to your friends now and see if I can find Travis. If he's not here, I'll see if some of my guys can track him down." Michael said.
"Okay." I said, standing up. Michael got up too and we walked side by side back to the theater. When we got to the door he opened it for me which caused me to smile and thank him while he smiled back at me. We walked back to where the movie was playing and I stopped before walking in.
"Bye Michael." I said as he pulled me into a hug. I like being around him, so I don't like it when one of us has to go but at least I get a Michael hug. I always feel so safe in his arms like nothing bad could ever happen although I also feel like that whenever he's around. I just feel safe with him.
"Bye Sophie. Call me if anything else happens okay?" He asked quietly.
"Okay." I replied back just as quiet.
He pulled away from our hug, releasing me from his arms and I walked back to my friends trying to think of an excuse to explain why I was gone for so long.
